“I really enjoyed the grammar module and the methodology module. My tutor, Denise was very helpful and approachable. I feel the telephone module and the classroom module were not the best. I would've appreciated a practice session included in the telephone module or a way of putting all the theory into practice. Many thanks Tina James”

“The class was well organized and the teacher was very professional. The method of teaching was different than some other language groups, but was student - focused, so it was effective. Overall, the course was worthwhile and I learned a lot. I do wish there was more information on teaching in person, rather than a focus at online teaching methods. There was also a lack of customizing the lesson, based on the size of the class, and the level of the students. Overall good.”

“Really enjoyed the relevant content, practical examples and pacing. I thought there could be a higher balance of mulitple choice tests rather than True/False tests to encourage the learner to challenge their understanding of the content better. But overall, a great course”

“I have enjoyed this course and, even though I’d been teaching in the UK for two decades, learned a lot from it about grammar and new ideas for teaching classes. If I have a criticism, sometimes tutor feedback was a little confusing and I wasn’t entirely sure what to do. Also, some of the way the assessment questions are phrased is ambiguous. However, I got there in the end and I’ve got my 200 Hour Diploma so I’m very happy! Thank you TEFL.”

“I found my time with TEFL to be extremely valuable and informative. Although I’m a native speaker, it really cleared up some things in the English language that I was aware of however not fully. I really enjoyed my time doing the course and I look forward to seeing what it holds for me in he future!”

“I thought that the platform was great to use, everything very clearly explained and keeps you stimulated with a good amount of Quizzes, especially in the grammar course. The methodology course I found harder as there were longer videos to watch and the videos I found a little flat and I didn't know what I was looking for specifically, especially when watching a full class. One other point was that I think the course needs more time spent on how to do a lesson plan. You get to the end of the methodology learning, then it asks you to write a lesson plan but I don't know how to write one; or didn't. I think there should be a whole section just on different lesson plans or just more on them. And the last thing was that I felt that the tutors were quite difficult to approach, or when they answered it was quite cold. More like an examiner than a tutor, I didn't feel like I could ask for help as much as I'd like. In the Chats they just referred me to the tutor then I wouldn't ask the tutor. But the course really is amazingly well laid out, I just felt on my own & needed a bit more support especially as I am new to teaching. Thanks Ella”

“The support from my tutor was excellent and feedback timely and appropriate. However double negative questions in the end of unit quizzes made it difficult to extract the exact answer, otherwise it would have been 5 stars”

“I really enjoyed the grammar course on this qualification in particular. There are a lot of quizzes, most of which are multiple choice; a couple of them were confusing but they were mostly straight forward. There were more assignments than I expected which seemed clumped together towards the end of the course. I would have preferred them to be more spread out. Response times if I needed help, or for assignments to be marked are excellent. Please be aware that if you need an extension, you have to pay for it! This was not expained before I asked for an extension. It is a lot of money compared to the cost of the course to have a week's extension (£35). If it wasn't for this, I would be more likely to recommend this course.”

“Hi everyone, i really liked the course. Everything was well prepared and good to understand. Just a few ideas: 1 Some quizzes in the last two or three courses of the 120 hours programme were a bit too obvious to answer - looking back I didn't need to read some texts and watch the videos to answer them. You put so much effort into the courses. It would be sad if people go through the material without paying attention to all the interesting things you offer. 2 TEFL is all about teaching students to use/speak the langugage. I would have liked a few tasks that channel our speaking abilities, e.g. upload a short video in which I explain a task like I would in a real lesson and get a feedback on that...or like a part of the presentation stage. This would have been very helpful and a good addition to the written tasks. 3 As a non-native english speaking person (from Germany) I wasn't quite sure what possibilities I have after succeeding the course...and I'm still not quite sure since some job offers throughout your homepage require a native-english speaking person but I will See. “Hi Alan, Would have given 5 stars, however, I have only used this course with my volunteer work at this point. Until I actually put this into practice, will I truly be able to see the value. I will say that the multiple choice questions, definitely need to be reworded as when reading them, they seem not straight forward, as a native english speaker, I can only imagine how it may be for a non-native speaker. Otherwise I found it informative and gave me some great ideas. Thomas was very helpful as well Thank you.”

“A manageable certificate to obtain with reasonable assignments. However, certain videos of the different courses could be a bit redundant or drawn out. The feedback from the TEFL tutors was particularly what stood out to me. After completing and submitting the end of course assignments you would get detailed and personalized feedback on your work as well as a fully constructed additional example to make sure you really understood how to make a lesson plan for that particular course! I appreciated this component!”
