I can’t recommend the granpad more highly ! It was an absolute Godsend for my mother in law during her time of need. Living overseas it was a vital link for us and her. During Covid and all the terrible restrictions it was invaluable. We could talk daily and observe what was going on and how my mother in law was. Our family lives all over the world and I couldn’t believe how clear the reception and picture was from wherever anyone contacted her. So user friendly especially for someone who had never used a smart phone, iPad or computer . Nuala helped us set it up initially and was always there to lend a hand. If for any reason my mother in law hadn’t charged the granpad or put it back in its doc I was immediately alerted. So the service was impeccable and Nuala delightful, kind, efficient and caring. The same efficiency applied when my mother in law passed away and we had to cancel the granpad. An email came straight back cancelling our prescription and with condolences. I really cannot recommend this product enough and the team working to make it so efficient . The moments we have shared together as a family have been priceless as well as all the lovely pictures we were able to send . These were of immense comfort to my dear mother in law. In truth a real Godsend!

TechSilver were so easy to deal with, from selecting the right product, following the video instructions and successfully setting up the tracker. I'm not confident with new tech but my mother in law needed this and it's made a huge difference to her independence and our peace of mind. I'd previously bought a Granpad with excellent service so very happy to use TechSilver again.

I ordered a personal alarm for my mother, the equipment arrived really quickly. The customer service is second to none, all communication with Techsilver has been dealt with immediately and with compassion. The whole process was smooth and the aftercare has been excellent. I bought a Flipper tv remote for my mum who has dementia. 6 clearly labelled buttons! Fantastic. Mum has to have freesat as she cannot get terrestrial tv. I’ve programmed in the tv and satellite box very easily. Fantastic!

My mother has Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. She has always been a walker and now seems driven to go walking at least once a day but, sometimes, several times in a day. Sadly, she can no longer find her way home and the pendant tracker has proved invaluable in keeping her safe and locating her. We use it in conjunction with a camera on her front door and when we are alerted to her leaving the house activate the tracker to 1 minute. This affords us the ability to see exactly where mum is. We can give her the opportunity to walk for a while before picking her up. Mum does not tire when walking and without the tracker she could not be allowed to go walking as she would simply walk and walk and walk and we wouldn't have a clue where she was. Mum requires tremendous support in all aspects of daily living but the tracker allows her some independence and the freedom to enjoy being out in the fresh air walking and this fulfils the drive in her "to be somewhere/go home" for the duration we can let her walk. It is also brilliant being able to ring the tracker, once when we hadn't realised she had gone out we rang the tracker and we were able to speak to a concerned member of the public who had come alongside her and arrange to get her home safely. When contacting TechSilver I have received a first class service and they have been extremely helpful and given useful advice about the updated version of the particular tracker we have for mum. The only negative to her current tracker is the charging portal, which can be fiddly. However, TechSilver have addressed this issue in the updated model. As a family we highly recommend TechSilver and the trackers they offer. Caring for mum is difficult enough but, without the tracker, it would be impossible to give her that little bit of independence and freedom and she would have to go into a care home. Mum's needs are quite extreme but a tracker would bring peace of mind and reassurance where a person is just starting to have problems with their memory. We have recommended the tracker to several people and wouldn't hesitate to continue to recommend it to anyone considering using one.

Got this for my mum who lives on her own and has dementia, she has wandered a couple of times in the past. I have the tracker attached to her keys which she always takes with her. The app is easy to set up with helpful videos. I got the long life battery tracker which lasts about 2 weeks with the tracking mode set to refresh every 1 minute. I like the geofence set-up, so if my mum goes out of this, I get a notification.

Works well though having some problems with length of battery life. Will check Q&A when time allows.

If you are having problems with the battery life, some settings can be changed to lengthen the time between charges. Such as changing the time between updates from one minute to 10 minutes. It may just be our local area, not TechSilver, but the information on the device's position seems very slow coming through much of the time. It will.probably work better in one minute update mode instead of ten minute. The problem then is that the battery drains rapidly. The phone and emergency button work very well.

You are correct that the 1-minute setting will drain the battery faster than the 10-minute setting, but the upside is the device will update quicker. What we can advise is to keep the device on the 10-minute setting while at home and then change to a 1-minute setting once it is out and about. This way you can save battery and have the device track faster when needed to. Hope these tips help! Have a great day!

Have only had my device for a short time, but has already helped me find my husband ( who has dementia). He is less able to use his mobile phone, so this is much easier for him to call for help or for me to talk to him. Has put my mind at ease if he wanders off. Help centre is helpful , polite and friendly
