They represent themselves as the producers of their blankets. Of the several I bought in the past; the labels say Made in China/designed in Scotland or Made in India. I am not thrilled with this company and feel that they are deceitful and so, I would not purchase anymore products from them, for this reason alone; the blankets are ok.

Hi there, We are very open and proud of the fact that all of our products are designed in Scotland and Woven by our partner mills. Each product page states where the blanket, scarf or accessories etc are made to ensure people are aware that we do not manufacture within Scotland. I have purchased multiple blankets from tbco. I was under the false impression that they were "made in Scotland". I looked at the tags and lone behold they are definitely NOT, at least the several I bought were not. One tag says designed in Scotland(lambswool)and made in China. The others, wool, some recycled wools are made in India. So, why is the tbco company pretending that these are actually made in Scotland, I don't know, but it was a buzz kill for this consumer. If I want made in China, I can go to Walmart or any other online or brick and mortar store to find them. Its a shame, I do like the blankets, but I think that this company should have been more honest and less deceptive. Not a good look at all.

Hey there, we see you've left this comment three times and we hope you see our reply to one of them. We want you to have a great TBCo experience. We know feeling misled is frustrating! If you have time, could you please expand on where in your shopping journey you felt deceived? We'd love to correct this. We currently write where each item was made in every product listing on our website. We're super proud of our Indian, Inner Mongolian and Peruvian partner mills and went to great lengths to find mills that align with our values, just as we are proud of our Edinburgh studio where we come up with our designs. This was my third order from TBCo. When I ordered previously the experience was excellent. The blankets were lovely and promptly sent to Scotland and Canada. No issues whatsoever. This time I sent a gift to Canada with a value slightly over the customs allowance. The recipient was asked to pay about 50 percent of the total value of the item in duties which she declined to do. Canada customs says the import rate on such items is 16-18%. I know TBCo are not responsible for import duties but the recipient said the form was not marked as a gift for import purposes. I emailed TBCo twice to see what would happen. Still haven't received a reply more than a week later. I received a message from UPS to say that they had returned the item to TBCo five days ago but TBCo did not inform me. I emailed them to find out what could be done but had no reply so I tried whats app but still no reply, so three weeks on my sister has no gift, I am out of pocket, and TBCo has the item. Disappointed as I would have liked to use this company again but with the complete absence of customer service, lack of refund, or attempt to redeliver to myself (as I requested) I won't be doing so.

Thank you for your review, we always appreciate feedback so we constantly improve. We are sorry your experience was not as expected. As is shown on our website we are unable to cover duties and taxes on orders to Canada and unfortunately have no control over how much is charged. We are also unable to mark a shipment as a gift as we are not the gift giver and can not assume a shipment is a gift. I can see there was a back and forth with our customer experience team regarding your order and you have now been refunded in full within 10 working days of the order arriving back with us.

Underwhelmed by dullness of colour. Beautifully soft but too pricey for what it is. Had I been more vigilant I would have got a comparable scarf, same quality and material for half the price.

Ordered what I thought were multi-colored gingham stockings, but they came green. The don’t look anything like what was pictured on the website.

I was charged 84 US funds then which came to $116 Canadian THEN $25 for Duty which comes to approximately $140 Canadian for a baby blanket a lot of money never again I have bought Scottish clothes before never paid duty

BE CAREFUL If you’re located in the US or Canada, you might have disproportionate fees to pay! We bought 3 baby blankets and it finally cost us 473$. Everything went fine until the Ups guy needed us to pay 118$ for the extra shipping fees. It honestly doesn’t worth the buy, plus the company did not show any solutions to help us out (except a discount for our next purchase…that we’ll never do) We ask for a refund to cover half of the fees we paid, which other companies did when we had to deal with the same problem. At the ended, they still said no…

Ordered the Mackenzie Weathered Tartan Lambswool scarf for my husband. I was happy to finally find a long enough scarf but was disappointed with how flimsy and thin it felt. Not at all cozy. I can't return it I assume because it was ordered with embroidery.

I am sorry to say that I was very disappointed with a 'Lambswool knee blanket'. It was very thin, more akin to the weight and feel of a scarf, so I felt it was over-priced at £65.

Our Lambswool is very soft and lightweight in texture, if you were looking for a thicker wool type I would recommend our Recycled Wool. Very quick delivery and good quality, but disappointing colour. I bought the neutral baby blanket as a gift with embroidery and the colour was not like the picture - very yellow in comparison which is frustrating as I would’ve picked a different colour way. Would recommend choosing a different colour for a baby gift as it looks quite old-person ish!

Hello there Thanks so much for your comment I totally appreciate your frustration. We have more stock on the way which we had expected to be with us in time for the holiday season. I'm sure you've seen that as with the whole of the UK there are significant logistical delays due to COVID-19 which meant our delivery has been held up. It really is frustrating but not something we had any control over. We are hoping the delivery manages to get through for January and would recommend signing up to our 'Email when Back' notification so you will be amongst the first to know when we have more stock. We are keeping our fingers crossed that things get moving soon as so many people have been impacted by this. To tell the truth I was disappointed, I know I got a discount but I didn’t know there was a defect . I was happy with the colors,the pattern the delivery and embroidery all perfect, but I found out immediately, close to the embroidery that we can see the thread ; fortunately it was not a moth. at this price I thought it could have been perfect. I know that with natural materials like leather there are imperfections but...

Very efficient company, came beautifully packed. Unfortunately I had to return the recycled/wool knee blanket as it was not as soft as I expected. I was very disappointed.

Hello There, Thank you for your review and taking the time to let us know about your purchase. Although, we're sorry to hear that the blanket wasn't quite what you expected. We're really proud of how sustainable our Recycled Wool blankets are, as they are made up of 70% Recycled Wool and 30% Recycled Mixed Fibres, that would otherwise end up in landfill. We do find that our recycled wool does soften more over time and the great thing about it is it can be popped in the washing machine on a cool wool wash which we've found helps to soften things up a little more too. You may also find our lambswool a bit more suitable as this is super soft and feels lovely on the skin, as it comes from a lambs first sheer. Nice blanket but smelled horrible. Really damp and musty. Washed three times and now a faint odour remains. Will be fine for outdoors/car but wouldn't want to put it on a bed. Emailed seller but have not had a response yet.

Hello there Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review and we're really sorry to hear about the issue with the smell. What you’re smelling is lanolin (or “wool wax”). It’s a natural oil sheep produce that give their wool that super important waterproofing property. We soak all of our recycled wool in vegetable oil to break it down before washing, but for some woolly blankets, the lanolin scent just happens to hang around a bit longer. We're sorry to hear that popping it in the wash doesn't seem to have helped. Usually we've found that this works a treat, however you may find airing outside will do the trick to get things freshened up for you. Love the look of the 2 blankets we ordered but we dislike the smell. They have a processed or manufacturing type odor. We’re attempting to remove the smell by washing and drying them in the sun.

Love their scarves and blankets but disappointed with recycled wool dog blanket. Texture of cloth is not the same softness and quality as other products. It was a present so could not easily return as advised by customer services. As a dog blanket I’m sure it will do the job but be aware cloth is not the usual high quality for the cost.

We opted to create our pet blankets from the off-cuts made from our Recycled Wool Blankets as we thought this was a super responsible way to deal with wastage as we move towards becoming a more sustainable business.
