“Love the look of the 2 blankets we ordered but we dislike the smell. They have a processed or manufacturing type odor. We’re attempting to remove the smell by washing and drying them in the sun.”

Hello Nora Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We really appreciate your feedback. What you’re smelling is lanolin (or “wool wax”). It’s a natural oil sheep produce that give their wool that super important waterproofing property. We soak all of our recycled wool in vegetable oil to break it down before washing, but for some woolly blankets, the lanolin scent just happens to hang around a bit longer. Our Recycled Wool can be popped in the washing machine on a cool wool wash at 30c so it might be worth giving this a try like you mentioned and this should get things freshened up for you. “I ordered a green herringbone knee blanket ffor a friend of mine. The service was excellent with prompt delivery. The presentation box it came in was good quality, and beautifully presented! The rug itself was/is lovely, accurate description, pattern and quality and made with recycled wool, a bonus. My friend is really enjoying being'snug' under it and because it is a good length covers him in his chair from ankles to neck, he loves it. Thank you!!!”

“My blanket arrived beautifully packaged and is now lining my sofa in the colours of blue beige and brown. My two dachshunds are allowed to jump up there so the blanket will be in line for a regular wash from time to time as well as being my sitting/watching TV perch on the comfort of wool warmth!”

“What an amazing company and customer service, I came across this website and found the perfect gift. I needed the gift quickly and called the company to ask if they can deliver with embroidery included. They were so helpful and said they would get it to me in 2 days. To my surprise, it was delivered the following morning! Outstanding customer service, beautiful gift and clearly go out of there way. Exceeded my expectations!”
