“SP&H had the item I wanted in stock at a good price so I ordered it online for delivery to my home address. I quickly received an email confirming the purchase and payment. Their blurb said it would be delivered by ParcelForce on a 1-2 working day service. That's as good as it got. As I heard nothing further I sent two emails and a message on their online contact form asking about the status of my order. I never received a response to any of them. I was at the point of writing to one of the Elliott directors at their Gethin House address when, out of the blue, I received a stock email saying my item had been despatched on a 24 hour express basis with a tracking link to Royal Mail. Totally to ignore communications from customers is in my view inexcusable hence the low overall rating. This company might provide an excellent service at their various branches for visiting customers, but their online service leaves a lot to be desired. And my experience does not appear to be an isolated incident either judging by previous reviews!”

“I ordered 5 number thermostat switches about 4 weeks ago but only received 1 number. I sent 2 emails enquiring about the outstanding 4 number but received no reply. Still no sign of any credit in my account against the 4 number not delivered.”

“The ordering process was easy, the price was ok, but we needed the item promptly so ordered the before 10.30 am next day service. Unfortunately not only did it not arrive before 10.30 it failed to appear at all that day. In fact the email asking for a review arrived before the product. I have given three stars because the late arrival was mainly because of the courier you chose and that we had no reply to the email we sent whilst or plumber was twiddling his thumbs waiting for the item .”
