“Large admin fee for a small addition to policy.”

Hello Colin, Thank you for your feedback. We took the step last year to be more transparent to customers, with regards to the fees that we apply to policies. The fee is transparently included in any quotation you received from us and detailed separately, whereas, previously the fee was still charged but it was included as part of the overall price for our products. The fee covers general operational overheads which include the overall administration of your breakdown policy, as well as providing the assistance service should you need it. The amount of the fee will vary based on a number of factors including the type of service a breakdown policy is designed to provide. Best wishes, the Start Rescue Team

Like many other breakdown cover providers, our prices are based on risk. As older vehicles break down more often than newer vehicles, this is factored into our pricing structure. You will also find that some other providers will base quotes on other risk factors such as age, address and vehicle models. “Always handy to have a plan b should plan a develope a fault. Even better when it has a "which" recommendation behind it as well. Only had to call them once in 5 ish years when my battery suddenly failed on me on the drive. Got me started within an hour. Plus loyalty pays. Always get a decent renewal each year. Top marks”
