I had your state 5 or 6 identification questions.. too many.. more than a bank query... WHY SO MANY.. I wanted to make a quick acceptance of my renewal. this took far to long. as I was in a rush I renewed with you.. probably not next year

I purchased a policy and believe it or not, they made it very easy to purchase it. There is no way I'm going to give 5 star rating of Start Rescue just for purchasing a policy. Send me a link to review it, if I've ever needed to use you, not request a review for just for purchasing the policy (as to me that's a little misleading and a little bit cunning)

Difficult to review as my only contact has been to pay the annual fee. I have not had confirmation of this and no further word. Previously(two years ago) my contact details were clear and Start Rescue was very helpful when I needed them. Am hoping for the same support now that I have become a member again

I have not had a breakdown that required your services, so cannot comment on this. However, I was disappointed with the last quote you sent. Telling me that I am a 'loyal and valued customer' and then increasing the premium by 60% didn't add up for me! When I rang, I was told the quote could be reduced, giving me an increase of 36%, which I have accepted. But I don't feel like a valued customer! Perhaps with fuel costs as they currently are, you might consider investing in electric vehicles??

We explained that our prices are solely based on the age of the vehicle, and the reason your premium had gone up this year is due to your vehicle age entering the next age brcket. Expensive, compared with what else is available online. They take a long time to answer calls. Significant price hike, in the automatic renewal quote, from the previous year, despite not using their service, ever! If I hadn't been busy dealing with a very ill close relative, I would have contacted them to query the automatic renewal quote and gone elsewhere if they hadn't offered a discount to an existing customer. Stuck with them as policy has automatically renewed.

You can't get your web based renewal working correctly. No body knows whats going on and in general it's all too stressful for me. I question whether you actually provide anything usable, your customer services don't.

They could not find my policy . It took well over an hour to locate it before they could contact recovery. Once recovery were contacted - it was pretty quick

I signed up to Start Rescue as it was cheaper than upgrading my current AA membership which doesn't include home breakdown cover. After being unable to use my car due to a flat battery, Start Rescue promptly sent someone who got the vehicle going. I drove about 8 miles using a stretch of duel carriageway to try and rejuvenate the battery and parked up to do some shopping. However when I got back into my car it wouldn't start and I called the AA who replaced the battery. They identified that a new battery was needed immediately. From this experience, I can verify that Start Rescue are competitive in price but sadly let me down by NOT engaging someone who could provide thorough breakdown assistance.

Broke down once in the whole time I have been with start rescue it was like the Spanish inquisition call handler got annoyed with me because I did not know where I was also I have asked for my cover to be sent to me by post but as of yet no sign of them that's why I scored only 2 stars

Hi Philip, we're sorry to find your comments. We can see we assisted you back in 2018, sorry to read you didn't experience the level of service you would expect, we will be looking into this further. When reporting a breakdown there are a number of necessary questions we need to ask to ensure we send out the appropriate recovery, we like to ensure our recovery technicians are equipt and able to deal with any special requirements our customers may have. Since reporting your breakdown in 2018 we now use "what3words" this is a great tool as it will identify a location within a 3m x 3m area, we hope this has given you some reassurance in the event you ever breakdown in the future. We can see we spoke to you yesterday regarding your documents being sent out to you, these should be with you next week, if for any reason you do not receive them then please don't hesitate to contact us. Having been swayed by the recommendation of Which? I chose to buy a policy for the next year. I did not receive a confirmation email in order to access ‘customer lounge’. I did a live chat where the person told me that there are issues with at least 3 major service providers not receiving messages from Start Rescue…eventually the person said I would receive the paperwork in the post. Not a great start!

Only used your service once, on a Sunday, flat battery, unhelpful operative said he would jump- start the car then leave me to drive to the nearest place to renew the battery - 7 miles away !!! I am female and over eighty. Better luck next time, I hope.

Couldnt change my password tried several times.the codes sent didn't work.had to phone in the end.
