“We've only had to subscribe to a roadside rescue service when our cars have reached three years old, ie out of manufacturer's cover. We invariably change cars at four years old and fall back under manufacturer's cover; however, Start Rescue has always provided the cover that we need at a sensible price with a good app based call out system.”

“Start Rescue have only had to come out to me once over the years and I was very impressed by the service. Unlike other rescue services they use providers local to you so the waiting is greatly reduced. I have found their renewal costs are competitive.”

“I took cover out on 21 Aug to start on Aug 22 but apparently the cover doesn’t take effect for 24 hours meaning that I wasn’t covered for most of 22 Aug when I needed it. Will look elsewhere next time.”

Hello David, Like many breakdown providers, our policies have an inception period upon purchase, before cover takes effect. All our policies are subject to a 24-hour inception period before cover commences, unless you select a start date that is more than 24 hours in advance. In this case, cover will begin at midnight on your chosen start date. If you travel to Europe regularly, you may wish to consider our 4 or 5 Star Annual Vehicle Cover. This will still have a 24-hour inception period at the beginning of the policy, but the inception period will not apply each time you travel to Europe during the policy term. “We switched to Start Rescue 2 years ago as a trial because of their very competitive quotes. Last year The car broke down on the M1 and within 1/2 hr the recovey vehicle was us . Within that time they rang us twice to check on us as we were relatively elderly and we had a child with us! We were surprised on how caring they were , thank you very much start rescue. We will renew with them without hesitation”
