“One occasion of breakdown quite recently, SR operative on phone was very poor ,un-knowledageble,had to consult his manager did NOT sort out my breakdown I had to do it myself. SR has since remburst me otherwise I would not have re joined SR.”

“I had an occasion to use this service in the year although I was registered under another vehicle and hadn’t transferred my policy to the new vehicle. Had to pay for the recovery at the time but was refunded that after vehicles were swapped. Excellent service and very helpful throughout this period.”

“I’ve been a member of Start Rescue for over 5 years and have used them a couple of times during that time. On both occasions, the rescue service was quick, professional, and completely hassle-free. I’ve had no issues at all with the service. Highly recomend”

“When my car broke down in a remote location far from home with a long journey ahead I was put at ease by the calm, helpful, friendly and practical advise from your operator on the phone. It was very reassuring, and before too long the local mechanic was on hand to look at the problem. He too was very helpful and after looking at the problem and doing a fix shadowed me for a good number of miles in order to reassure me that I could continue the journey. I made it home and was able to go to my local garage to fix the issue long term. Thank you!”

“I was aggreived that Start would no longer cover my vehicle abroad because it is now over 10 years old. They say it's their 'policy', yet many other breakdown insurance providers still offer cover abroad for older vehicles. It does not inspire customer loyalty.”

The availability of our cover and all pricing takes into account the risk factors related to the vehicle breaking down and as such, we presently don't offer European cover to vehicles over 10 years of age. “Although, thankfully I have not needed call out for a breakdown, being with Start Rescue for sometime it gives me reassurance that should it be necessary the service is there. A plus point this year was that renewal cost was only a few pounds, unlike other services, which was very welcome in these time of ever increasing motoring costs.”
