Great product, works well when it does, creates something truly flat. But the systemwide version on macOS 12 doesn’t seem to be zero latency. And it crashes sometimes which is disastrous because of the sudden boost in volume due to the safe headroom option.

Wouldn't be without Sonarworks in the mixing process. The price was discounted a few days after I decided to buy the upgrade which wasn't great.

I am using ID with logic - unfortunately if standing idle for a couple hours ID looses connection has to be restarted and reconfigured in logic X audio. This did not happen with Sonarworks Reference - this occurred after upgrade

Unhappy that I made a purchase and then a sale was introduced two weeks later, and then to be told you only compensate customers who purchase within 7 days before the launch of the sale. I found unacceptable considering I was upgrading after being a long term investor in your product.

I am splitting my review in 2 halves… for one half I give 100% satisfaction for new product purchase and 0% for customer service. I purchased one of Austrian Audio’s latest headphones and reached out multiple times requesting Sonarworks to update its list of calibrations with this headphones and absolutely no luck or responses. Really poor service

Hey, thanks for the review! Can you elaborate on the issue with customer service, please, what exactly went wrong? We've checked out your support ticket history, and it turns out there are no support requests submitted with the email address used for your order. If you were using a different email address for contacting us, feel free to provide it in a private reply, and we'll have a closer look. Thank you!

I liked sonar works before my update to Windows 11, and as I upgraded my hardware, I also installed windows 11 on my Music production computer. It looks like it doesn't work properly.

Sonarworks looked like a fairly easy process but I went from one side to the other. The measuring app that wouldn't scale right (4K issue?) out of the box so I couldn't measure my room because the buttons were out of context. Next, I got crackles every few seconds, but, luckily, the plugin in Cubase does it's job without crackling. All in all, I think the app user experience should be enhanced by correcting the (presumed) 4K issue and possibly by verifying the sound experience from within the app.

Hello, Shopping experience was good. Still have some questions. I have reference 4 and sound id now. Should I uninstall reference 4? When I use sound id in Ableton on master chanel with my headphones the sound is quite. Basically there Are 3 states: VST is on and correction is enabled - one level of sound, VST is on, correction disabled - another level of loudness, VST is off - another level. Please share the workflow in Ableton. I have M1, will the full support be available after 28 March? Does it mean that it is not make sense to use it now before final support version? Please advice. Thank you.

I want to like it but I’m sadly underwhelmed. I feel like the coloring doesn’t actually do that much. And I tried returning it but no one answered my message.

Reference 4 works well but the ID Reference has significantly more functionality. I can see that but the plug-in and stand alone headphone version crashes my playback every time I try to switch between the various references. I’ve tried everything suggested in the error message to no avail and tried reinstalling. Nothing works.

Overall the product and ease of upgrade was fine. Not entirely sure what has changed within the product other than name and UI

Web portal works fine for shopping. It was challenging to register my original software because I purchased it through Sweetwater, and I had to find an email from 2 years with the registration codes. I'm not sure why Sonarworks doesn't have that information.

Sonarworks is a great product , using the software has helped me with getting my mixing to translate . I'm giving 3 stars out of five because the only reason I upgraded to sound ID reference is to get better drivers for my win 10 daw . nothing has changed . I can't even view sonar works tutorial videos . I have to use a different interface without sonarworks engaged to view any media . I'm very disappointed !

Good product, but not straightforward enough, the interface is trying to look cool, but on cost of easy functionality. An example: switching on and of of the EQ bands. Totally unlogical and out of whack...if you straighten your act graphically, it would be really good.

Yes it makes a difference and it has a very accessible setup process and a nice interface. Unfortunately it seems rather limited in general: SoundID does not support multichannel speaker setups and that it treats a stereo setup with subwoofer the same as one with only two speakers seems like a kind of dangerous simplification (what about the phase relationship in the crossover frequency region?). The integration with the Anubis interface is just great though.

I was testing out this software about a year ago and I was very pleased with it, however there have been quite a few changes and it looks like the whole company might be starting to go down hill… 1. They changed the naming scheme, and now it’s confusing… in 2021, you almost have to try to be bad at naming a product line… 2. The whole GUI changed and it’s a lot less intuitive. I don’t want this software to get in the way and make it harder to make music, but it is becoming another software that I have to learn how to use… 3. It still takes over my entire computer’s audio system and won’t let go of control until I quit the software. This is something I hated when testing the software and they haven’t changed it. 4. Last year I was hoping for air pods pro support ( I know they are not the best for mixing, but it would be handy to be able to use them in a pinch) however there has been no change. They did create a profile for Air Pods Max (which came out after AirPods Pro) So I see a company that is trying to look cool by changing their name and putting on some different clothes, but when it comes to being good at what they do, it’s just lacking.

Hello everyone! I have been working with Sonarworks since 2019. Experts in the Thomann store from Germany advised. There I bought a complete set with a microphone (Reference 4). Recently switched to ReferenceId (Upgraded)... Reconfigured my system from Genelec 8020+Sub7040. The result is impressive! Thank you for the wonderful product! PS: unfortunately, my headphones have not been individually calibrated... pandemic and lack of funding. I dream of calibrating my Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro and Sony 7506 PSS: The product is good, but, unfortunately, the payment service and the absolute disregard on the part of the support staff for the presence of a problem with payment with Mastercard and Visa cards from the territory of Russia. I have been trying to pay for the upgrade directly from my bank cards for 2 weeks. I have received several letters from the support service - with a brief content: you have individual problems with the settings of your computer and operating system. At the same time, I was shopping from all over the world in different stores - there were no problems anywhere!!! I had to pay using PayPal... at an unprofitable rate, and I assume with a service fee.
