“Shopping and purchasing the Virtual Monitoring add on was straightforward. I only had a bit of an issue activating the license. I had to reinstall Reference on my PC and then it was able to verify my license online.”

“I love this Sound ID in theory but it has one main fatal flaw. There's apparently a hidden setting called "Keep Reference the default system output device". It defaults to "ON". This has caused me hours of frustration and I've been a music producer for over 35 years. I shudder to think what mayhem it's caused for beginners. This setting will FORCE Sonarworks to be the master and If ANYTHING goes wrong with your speaker output this causes massive problems. If Sonarworks crashes, if you wish to override Sonarworks, or if you wish to use another app as the master output device (Slate VSX, Process Audio Decibel, etc.) it will still FORCE Sonarworks as the master. With this hidden setting enabled Sound ID overrides the manual volume control on your MacBook Pro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! = Huge feedback coming through my speakers and the volume control DOES NOTHING!!! What do you do? Throw your MacBook in the ocean??? That's the only way to make it stop! This is a massive oversight and a huge problem. I didn't use this software for 4 years because I couldn't understand what was going wrong with my laptop audio output (that was 2 MacBooks ago). Sonarworks: Please consider how to fix this massive problem. I would suggest moving this hidden setting to the front of the software with a HUGE button and an explanation of the two different mode options and the dire consequences that might happen if anything unexpected happens. Other than that, it's amazing!”

“1) I purchased SoundID Reference, its Virtual Monitoring add-on, and SoundID VoiceAI on the same day. Sonarworks' "Cart" was impossible to use, so I had to purchase all of these one-by-one individually (...there was no "Add to Cart" button next to the items). Please add an "Add to Cart" button to each of the items on your website. 2) SoundID Reference, for a beginner, is a bit obscure to setup for someone using a Windows computer. I did write to Sonarworks' Support in order to get help, but the reply I got did not allow me to know exactly what to do and how to setup SoundID Reference on my Windows computer. Since there are only videos about setting up SoundID Reference using a Mac OS computer on YouTube, I had to figure out on my own how SoundID Reference works, and then wrote a tutorial for beginners whom are using a Windows computer. As a matter of fact, I just sent my tutorial document to Sonarworks' Support, hoping it could help other beginners just like me. 3) The "bypass" (i.e. the "Calibration Disabled" button located at the bottom right of SoundID Reference), does not allow the TRUE BYPASS SIGNAL to go through. SoundID Reference "colors" this signal and makes it sound dull... I therefore believe that an update with a revised signal path is required for SoundID Reference in this regard. Regardless of these inconveniences, SoundID Reference works fine to create a neutral sound when enabled.”

“Sonarworks make great products. I found the whole purchase process extremely easy and the support seems appears very good indeed. I haven't yet had a chance to use my latest purchase in earnest due to time constraints. However I don't anticipate any issues and I know that I can get help very easily if needed.”

“Purchased both SoundID Reference & SoundID AI Voice. Couldn't be without Reference, brilliant software. The AI Voice plugin is also definitely up there as one of the best AI voice softwares for the money at the moment. Only gripe I have is with Sonarworks website: most creatives use Apple Mac, therefore the Safari browser, however, even on the latest OS with extensions disabled etc, it still has issues with damn pop ups and not logging in properly among other issues (don't even think about using Firefox or Chrome etc). Support is good if you're ok to wait 24-48hrs & there's enough info in the FAQs in case you need it.”

“The shopping worked with no problems. Changing from trial to perpetual license had some problems on second activation but worked then. Had a discussion with support to get a little missleading in description of Sound ID Voice Ai clear. Good support, now transmitted as request.”

“The homepage was a bit confusing at first – I had to click around quite a bit to find the right product. After I bought the Headphone Version of SoundID Reference, I tried to install it, but it didn’t work right away. There was an issue during installation that required me to manually create a folder, as I kept getting an error message. Once I solved that, I was quickly able to find my specific headphones and load the VST into my Cubase DAW on the stereo output. From there, everything worked fine.”

“Purchasing and installing VoiceAI perpetual license was pretty straightforward, although would have been helpful if the VST would have recognised that my license was perpetual rather than token based, which it defaulted to, so it took a while to work out why I was getting "No Credits" message when trying to capture my source track.”
