“Easy shopping experience. I only wish there was stock of all calibrated headphones and moreso, that the crucial ability to send one's own headphone model for individual calibration was restored. It's really missing, I wish I was able to extend my headphone choices that way. The HD650 are great, but I miss being able to have another headphone with extended bass range properly calibrated in the same manner. So either reinstate the individual calibration, or stock (!) a more comprehensive range of headphone models. In my opinion, the price of the calibrated HD650 is too stiff, considering it is considerably less expensive nowadays.”

“Sonarworks / SoundID Review Shopping Experience: Buying from Sonarworks was pretty straightforward. The website’s clean and easy to navigate, and I didn’t have any trouble finding the version of SoundID Reference I needed. They give you a decent amount of info to help you decide, though I think a side-by-side comparison of the different options (like headphone vs speaker, with or without mic) would’ve been really helpful. Before & After the Purchase: Before buying, I was able to find most of the info I needed—system requirements, how it works, etc. After buying, installation was smooth and the setup guide walked me through everything without much confusion. That said, if you’re new to this kind of thing or using it with a specific DAW/audio interface, a few extra tutorials or tips would make things easier. Support Centre Experience: I had to reach out to SoundID support once, and while they did get back to me and solved my issue, it took a couple of days. Their help articles cover the basics well, but I think they could benefit from some more detailed walkthroughs—or even some short videos—for common issues. Overall: Great product, does exactly what it promises—my mixes translate way better now. Just a couple of small improvements on the support and setup side, and it’d be a nearly perfect experience. Solid 4 out of 5 stars from me.”

“I found the online video tutorials very informative. They helped me get up and running quickly and easily. The only drawback I found was when I attempted to upgrade to the latest version of Vocal AI, I could not find any upgrade option when I was taken to the Sonarworks website. I ended up having to purchase a new perpetual license, which I was only able to register after de-registering my previous license. I still don't regret the purchase. It's a great product!”

“Excellent tool how to make acoustics respone of my home studio accurate. I started to use Sonaworks Reference 4 some years ago and I upgraded to Sonaworks SoundID now. I appreciate the discount for the established users. What I still encounter is a subtle white noise when SoundID works as systemwide (like the Reference 4 did as well). PlugIn version works noiseless. Radovan”

“I was able to find all the information I needed for the software on the Sonarworks website very easily, including confirming that it was compatible with my Apollo audio interface. I was also able to confirm that it would allow me to use simultaneous monitor and headphone calibrations which is a feature I really wanted.”

“Smooth transaction. The only confusing factor was having to search for a solutiuon to the dreaded black screen after shutting down when first installed. It's simple enough to fix by adding the sonnarwork download manager to login items. Since then it's been near perfect for what I'm doing.”

“I dont understand why you cant insert your VAT number when you buy the software but have to make a support ticket and get the VAT back again after. Now I have to do accounting work twice ;-)”

“A bit confusing buying experince in installing the vocal ai. Not so easy as normaly. I had to read the instructions carefully while i'm more then 30 years in the bizz. Also no easy way to install the vocal lib's on a different hard drive. I hope in the future.”

“I own multiple apollo interfaces - and with the Gen2 Apollo I tried it out. Setl-up was really fun and through the semeless integration with apollo it is even more efficient (working through DSP of the Apollo). I used to have ARC and from my experience Sonarworks is more adequate. Not saying that ARC was bad at all!”
