“It’s really really great but I really need a 5.1 integration. Film professionals currently have 2 options: professionally tuned rooms and hardware based system processors like trinov. There is a real market need for software based tuning systems for mixers, and sound editors alike. We currently have to use multiple instances of reference 4 as a workaround but it would be very beneficial for us to have a 5.1/7.1 version of the plugin.”

“It does an amazing job of measuring and correcting your room/speakers. But for me I haven't found a mix setting I am comfortable with on a nearly mixed Studio One song. I think if I start a new song with it ON, that will be the best way to get it going. Or at least put it ON earlier in the mix process.”

“I find the config and plugin effective and use it all the time alongside the acoustic treatment in my room. Less so is the systemwide element on Windows, which has destabilised the audio on my system to the point where I am having to deactivate and simply not use it.”

“The main functionality of the headphone platform, i.e. flattening/smoothing out the headphone frequency range, is fantastic... it really makes all the difference to my mixing and listening. Being notified within the DAW not to export/mix down with the plugin activated is a great feature. Some of the general functionality could be improved - the switching between audio outputs; the ability to apply it systemwide easily and consistently... being notified or able to see what's on and what's off... some of this could be clearer. Also, the ability to apply software updates within the settings area, and therefore easily keep the software up to date, would be a good timesaver. Lastly... it would be great if you could add calibration for Beyerdynamic DT100! Many thanks.”

“Ce programme donne des résultats étonnants sur PC. Cela justifierait un 5 étoiles. Je n'en accorde que 4, à cause des fonctionnalités réduites sur iPhone (IOS). Lorsqu'une version système semblable à celle sur PC sera disponible sous IOS, ce sera clairement un 5 étoiles pour moi.”

“This product is helping to improve my mixes. I only wish I could use Systemwide on my phone as well, or could use it to log in to True Fi. I don't have the funds to buy True Fi on top of Reference 4 and so was a little disappointed I couldn't.”

“I have heard a lot of good stuff about Sonarworks, mostly from my teacher at an audio engineer school. We tried it on speakers in different rooms, measuring the results and it was really responsive and correct. It was kinda expensive so I tried to demo it but unfortunately the setup bugged out when I tried to calibrate the speakers and could never try the product because the installer got stuck at a step. I hope you have fixed that cause that made me rather annoyed and I didn't look at your way for a year. Now I live in another apartment with bad acoustics so I'm only mixing in my Beyer DT 770 and with sonarworks the response is AMAZING! I thought these phones were flat but after trying your software I will never go back. You have a great product and it's worth every penny.”

“The plugin is just perfect. Balances out my Beyer DT990's and completely transforms my Sony MDR-7506's from barely usable to very good! The Systemwide application however isn't always a joy to use, it's a bit glitchy as sometimes I didn't even get any audio output at all. For instance when connecting an extra display to my PC.”

“A reasonable alternative especially when proper room treatment is not practical (home studio, etc.). It certainly has helped me in the overall tonal balance during the mixing stage on my V8s (specifically in proper representation of the low in). If nothing else, you will have a better understanding your speakers in your current environment. Thanks guys & gals!”

“I use it as a plugin in Cubase controlroom, I think it gives a bit more confidence mixing on headphones. I wish there was a option to measure your personal headphones without sending them to Sonarworks.”
