The shopping experience was ok. I had purchased Reference 3 Systemwide previously and was a little unclear about how to upgrade to Sound ID Reference. Clearer upgrade paths at the time of purchase would be nice.

Concerning the assistance everything looks good. But I recommend you to improve the access to the different products on the website

I have used SoundiD profiles for my Beyer Dynamic headphones and a studio monitor setup with passive Tannoys and a subwoofer with great success. The calibration for my Fluid Audio 50 powered monitors was way off after several calibrations. Can you please create a profile for these speakers?? Thank you!

Very helpful software for the headphones, helping to get that close-to-perfect frequency response curve

It does the job. It flattens my very bright HD560s and M50Xs. My mixes were too dull because of their natural highs. Now I know to compensate for these natural highs for a brighter mix that translates to other sound systems. This is my first experience with a reference EQ system, so I have no frame of reference for whether Sonarworks is great or terrible. At the moment, and based on my experience, it's good. Expensive, but good.

Upgrading was easy. I upgraded from Reference 4 to Sound ID. Software license was easy to do and I was up and working fairly quickly.

Not perfect but it makes you feel more confident about how mixes will translate to other systems Very useful tool

I tought the update offer was a good deal. By paying the sales price the user could have a great product. I really appreciate that you let users know in advance when the offers are going to be released. This gives us time to prepare to purchase the product.

Software and features are great, only bad zhing that you only get one license for the edu upgrade. So i have to buy it twice to use 2 machines at once

Speaker calibration has been wonderful. Headphone calibration I just can’t get into - tried on 3 different pairs. Just too unpleasant sounding. Customer service is good, but very slow to respond.

Download was fine. Computer kept defaulting to 4, and the new version wouldn't open on startup, but finally fixed both

Good product... good support... no 32-bit support for the VST plugin in SoundID (so Reference 4 was a better choice for us since we had both 32 & 64-bit support). The better your headphones/speakers, the less benefit you will get from Reference 4/SoundID. On cheap headphones, the results are spectacular. Using SoundID with consumer software like Foobar2000 works but is complicated (install and use). You need to restart the software every time you change something (for example, mute does nothing... you restart and the sound is muted... so fine-tuning is a real pain). Sonarworks doesn't seem to care as Foobar is not their software. Although this is true, expanding the user base to consumers (where Reference/SoundID really shines) might be a good idea.

Been using Sonarworks for Headphones products for more than a year now and have been pleasantly surprised with them. I recently also upgraded to the Speakers version, waiting for a little because there were too many people online claiming the same results could be achieved using open-source software like REW/Equalizer APO. After testing the Speakers version for a decent amount of time I can certainly say that the open-source alternatives don't even compare. Most of these use only one measurement position and the resulting curve for correction whereas Sonarworks product aggregates many and corrects for more than one small little listening sweet spot. While yes, it is not magic and you will still need a decently treated room for good results in the top end, it certainly did help a lot with the low-end frequencies even in an untreated small room, more than these "bass traps" that keep popping up for the very least. During my use of Sonarworks products, I had to contact their support several times and always received a detailed answer within the promised 48h response time. I would certainly recommend their services if that occasion ever pops up, though I have to say their transition from Reference 4 to SoundID branding was a little rough, with most of the FAQs and helpful links disappearing or links within them breaking. I guess these will be fixed soon though. One thing I didn't like was their very own holiday sale. Retail stores had the same products for cheaper oftentimes, while also dropping their prices even more merely a week after Sonarwork's official sale ended. Finding out you could have saved 50€ not even a week later leaves a bad aftertaste.

Shopping was fine, the installation was great and the app itself is working nicely. Not super happy about the small differences in the Desktop app and the Logic Plug-in, but it is okay. Disappointed about not getting the right information about VAT and refunds in time. This should be made VERY clearly when purchasing the product and I wasn't able to add my VAT-nr during the purchase, which also is a huge problem.
