“I recently purchased a pair of Sonos play 1 speakers having 'played' with a similar pair for a weekend at a friends house. After just a few days I only have positive things to say! Setup The speakers took just ten minutes to set up from opening the box to sitting back and enjoying everything apple music has to offer. The setup is simple, with a clear step by step guide. I linked one of the speakers directly to my wireless router using the ethernet cable provided. Hopefully this will Ensure a new, strong, independent mesh network (ready for when I add more speakers, inevitable I'm afraid). I downloaded the Sonos app to my ipad and setting up the primary speaker then second was very easy and quick. The instructions made it clear how to run the adjustment process with my ipad. Apparently it's the same using a phone. I wanted to use Apple Music with the app so I needed to update the speaker software so it was running the beta version, again really quick, self-explanitary and easy. I then linked Apple Music as a music service in the app and logged in. Worked straight away. Sound quality I went for a stereo pair in our lounge (room is 4m x 6m). They sound superb with plenty of volume and base, which seems impossible from such compact speakers. I have subsequently tried them individually in different rooms but feel that our lounge needs both together. In a smaller room like a kitchen etc they would probably be ok individually. When I had the speakers in different rooms it was simple to group the speakers, have different songs coming from the different speakers, at different volumes etc. The was possible from any device linked to our wireless network. Ease of use I also downloaded the app onto my macbook. I was then able to link the app to my home music catalogue which does include the odd track or album that Apple don't include. I have made a few playlists, linked my favourite radio stations and set up a wake up alarm with ease. I can honestly say it's so simple my kids have already mastered it, so much so that Taylor Swift keeps taking over! SMARTHOMESOUNDS Having researched the speakers I was convinced I wanted some. I spoke online to a SMARTHOMESOUNDS advisor and decided to go for two to start with before committing to more. They were honest and sensible, no hard sell. I then got the best deal anywhere, with free next day delivery. I will definitely go back when I can afford to buy my next speakers for my kitchen, office, bedroom, bathroom etc etc.”

“When I eventually took the plunge to purchase a pair of SONOS PLAY1, I did so from Smart Home Sounds as they were offering a special bundle price like John Lewis but with free next day delivery. The order was placed before 3pm on 29th December and the parcel was delivered before 12pm on 30th December, just in time for the New Year eve party. I am very satisfied with their customer service and very happy with the product I received. I will not hesitate in using their services again in the future when I decide to expand my SONOS system.”
