Would have given zero stars if I could have. I had the misfortune of taking out boiler breakdown cover. What a sham of a company. My boiler stopped working and I called them out. First thing they make you do is go through some sort of approval process to see if your claim is valid (alarm bells were ringing). I mean if your boiler is broken it's a valid claim - anyway day later they agreed to send someone round. He eventually turned up a week or so later and told me it was a fault with either a sensor or my PCB. He managed to start the boiler and told me to give them a call if it happened again. Next thing that happens is I get an email from (not so) Smartcover telling me the fault is intermittent and I am not covered. What kind of joke is that - I paid over £200 for cover that doesn't provide cover. They told me it is for emergency breakdown so they only do temporary fixes. I am now in an argument to get my money back as I want to change to a reliable/reputable company - should have never left British Gas. Be warned!! you do not get the cover you think you are getting - which is even worse than no cover because when you try and claim you are left high and dry facing an unexpected bill. Please read the 1/2 star reviews - these are people who have tried to make a claim. The 5 star reviews are from people like me who initially got a "so called" 15 minute service on their boiler and were pestered by the company to leave a review after that!!!! I have now alerted the insurance ombudsman because I want to claim a full refund from these scammers.

Worst company ever. Had a central heating cover with them. All of our radiators stopped working in the (very) cold weather. They said it's not an emergency!!!! I have a vulnerable person at home which is not ideal without heating. Stay away from these nasty people at all costs, they happy to take your cash and happy to let you badly down. Nasty nasty company. Any good reviews are fake.

Worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. Bunch of con men who twice rejected claims I made as not an emergency, yet I’m 71 years old. Also requested call back on 5 occasions & nothing. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Appalling company. Been with them for 2 years and recently had to make a claim due to a faulty boiler. Firstly they failed to respond to the engineer's request to order replacement parts. More importantly they then refused the claim on the basis the policy didn't cover worn or faulty parts! Shameful. Won't be using them again.

Sono rimasto triste e senza speranza dopo essere caduto vittima di una truffa gestita da questo broker disonesto. Ho trovato A=I=X=A=L=T=D.C=O=M quando ero rimasto senza opzioni e avevo cercato ovunque aiuto. Ho provato un certo ottimismo grazie alla loro incrollabile dedizione nell'assistere le vittime come me nel riappropriarsi di ciò che ci apparteneva di diritto. Il loro personale comprensivo mi ha guidato e supportato per tutto il tempo in cui mi stavo riprendendo, a partire dal nostro primo incontro. Sono riuscito a riconquistare ciò che avevo perso e ricostruire la mia fiducia nelle persone grazie alla loro conoscenza e tenacia.

Take caution not to fall for these cunning con artists! They entice you with deceptive claims of excellent account performance, but when you want to withdraw your money, they slap you with unanticipated costs, leaving you with nothing. It was rather distressing that I was recently the target of a scam by a Smart Cover. Despite my efforts to collaborate with my lawyers and the police to find a solution, I was left feeling helpless and disillusioned. However, my fortune changed when I discovered A I X A L T D. C O M. Their remarkable knowledge and dedication allowed them to recover my misplaced money. I really thank them for helping to handle this awful situation. For their knowledge and commitment to their clients, they most definitely merit commendation. I firmly recommend them to anyone who has been duped and is searching for reliable assistance.

Absolute shocker. My Beko washing machine decided to give up the ghost but as I was covered by Smart Cover I thought I'd be ok. Sadly not the case. As I'd only been with them 5 months I had to pay the rest of the years premiums before they'd take any action. The engineer they sent out said it was beyond repair and a new one would need to be sorted. Total cost of new machine was £239. Total costs requested by Smart Cover (to cover premiums, delivery/ disposal and over limit claim charge (stung by the small print there I guess) £166. I don't think so. My local appliance shop price matches and delivers/removes old unit as part of the service. Lesson learnt.

Recently, I tried to get a refund and i found it frustrating. They turned out to be dishonest, and despite their claims be professional, would have lost €12,700. They do not help me when i aske for a refund I contacted their customer assistance, but it had no effect. Thank God, the recovery company called madacovi. co intervened to save me and got me a reimbursement. madacovi. co website were able to rescue in this circumstance, thus I really advocate using their services. Please do not hesitate to contact them in need of help.

Rip of insurance company, they are an absolute scam, at the time of claim they are saying I didn’t advise them I had an “American” fridge freezer. Firstly his was not a selectable option! Secondly I provided them with all the product details at the time of application and they did not advise any different. They are simply out there to rip you off at time of claim. They are asking me to pay £250 excess fee for a £225 toward the new product. Absolute scam avoid this company at all costs!

The most unprofessional and doughy company to deal with them I have done some work with them they haven’t paid my invoices for more than 6 months I keep chasing them no one call me back. Just stay away from this company

Absolutely terrible service I have been with them for 7 years. To start with they were great to deal with and customer service was good.Now, the customer service is lower than poor. I have to phone them all the time. They promise an engineer but no one comes out. After chasing for 4 days I eventually get an engineer visit who confirm the fault with the appliance and a replacement appliance is necessary. They sent the report whilst in my home. I chased Smart cover who say they are still waiting for an engineer visit. When I confirmed they have been they said they need to wait for the report, despite already having this. Chasing 4 days later, they confirmed they have the report but it needs to be reviewed. Another 3 days and I chase. After arguing again, they confirm a replacement machine is needed as it is beyond repair. I am told to wait a few days for the replacement team to confirm which products I could have and any additional costs. You guessed it... no emails. I need to phone again to chase for the emails. I know this is a very poor and doesn't appear to be a legitimate service provided. I am now considering taking thus to the ombudsman to get them investigated as Im feeling uncomfortable with paying 7 years of premiums and not getting the services that was paid for. I will be reading their terms in detail to see if they have breached any of their obligations. I think enough is enough.

Absolutely horrendous Company. Stay away, it has taken nearly 5 weeks and still no resolution. My dryer was condemned by an engineer and I'm still waiting for a suitable replacement been offered. You have to pay £41.50 for delivery and a month's cover money before they will order a new appliance. Customer service are absolutely terrible and don't get back to you or keep you informed you have to keep calling them. If I could give a no star review I would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!!

Would be a zero if I could. Reported faulty washing machine 3 weeks ago,failed promises on engineer visits,poor communication and numerous calls chasing updates.Finally agreed replacement and still waiting on delivery date,shocking service overall.
