AVOID SHOCKING SERVICE - Washer dryer failed and have now waited 3 weeks for replacement. Did not realize in the small print when you do have a claim there are 5 pages of forms, pictures and ID to process a engineer visit. Then there is also a delivery charge for a replacement if required, in our case a item of lesser value was the only offer. Now on 2 occasion Smart Cover have failed to arrange a delivery and had us waiting 7am to 7pm on both days. Waiting for them now to make a part cash settlement of not even the full amount.

I just think for a small job it took around 2 weeks to get resolved, which involved numerous phone calls and 3 visits. I’ve been with domestic and general and their service compared to yours is more professional. Once my insurance is up for renewal I will be going back to d&g

I apologise for the delays and inconvenience you experienced. Your claim was approved on 11/03/2019 and an engineer was immediately booked. The engineer visited your property on 13/03/2019 and repaired your fridge, however upon talking to the customer on a follow up call, the ice maker was still broken. The engineer attended your property again but unfortunately new parts were required which caused the delay. As soon as the parts arrived the engineer visited your property to finish the job. It appears the only slight delay was waiting for parts and the engineer not fixing the ice maker on the initial visit.

I made a claim for my Panasonic TV which I paid over £600 for the TV. When I made the claim i was told the will offer me like for like but they offered me Hitachi TV which is less Than £400 and i refused it, they later offered me Logik TV 49inch which my TV was 50inch. They came back to me to offered 55inch Logik TV and asked me to pay extra £141.50 and i said to them i cannot pay any extra money. Now they have offered me 50inch Panasonic TV and asking me to pay extra £500. I am very disappointed and frustrated with their service. If i am allow to claim up to £500 which i have given the model numbers which they are less than £500 but they are refusing to offer those TVs. They still want to give me those Hitachi and Logik TV. Please do watch out for them. Their customers service experience is fantastic but when you are claim its horrible.

I had Insurance with Smart cover . When I make claim for my American style fridge and freezer which I was bought £550 two years ago. Now Smart cover telling me that I have to pay extra either £300 or £1000 for new replacement similar products. My claim cover up to £500. As i told them i can't afford that even brand new one i can bought by £500 from Argos. Then what's reson for insurance. Is kind of joke. Please don't go with Smart cover. Please talk to first about your future claim then go for insurance.

cannot really write a review as i only purchased for a year from 12th oct 2016 cover did not start until21st december2016 pay annually but find it a bit expensive being a pensioner and widow and dont want monthly payments as i am on limited income havnt needed to make a claim so cannot say whether good or bad

phoned up to make a claim after 2 years on cover for our washing machine, it broken down and wanted it repaired. spoke to their advisor, most rude woman I've ever spoken to, talking over me at every opportunity. zero customer service skills. trying to talk the way out of us making a legitimate claim. would never go near this lot whatsoever. left me and my partner very stressed and upset. AVOID.

When I went to make a claim, i was told there was a 28 day after taking out policy, where I would have to pay a excess of £250. I cancelled my policy and was advised a refund would be issued. THAT WAS 3 MONTHS AGO!!! I am still waiting. I have spoken to numerous customer services who have told me, repeatedly, the refund it with finance, and even sent letters in but still no refund. Disgusting service, a company I would NEVER recommend

Absolute joke of a service! They say they will call you back but never do!! When you call them to lodge a complaint they say all managers are in a meeting and cannot be interrupted. Staff have no customer service skills whatsoever.

I'm sorry you experienced difficulties. It appears that you reported a leak under the bath. The plumber went to the job and found that the issue had already been resolved. The bath required a new washer and was only leaking when the bath was full. This would not have been covered.

Just made a claim on my dad's life insurance and they have refused to pay out. Instead of the funeral cover of £5000 my dad was paying £30 a month for, I have received £328. They are closed at the weekend. People don't pass away Monday to Friday.

I insured my fridge freezer with Smart cover. After few months it broke down. I called costumer service and they asked me to submit the photos and serial number and proof of purchase. I submitted everything expect the proof of purchase because I could not find it. I called up and they told me to get a bank statement. I provided with a bank statement where it shows clearly that I purchased it from Comet. After two weeks of chasing they told me after that the bank statement is not good enough because it doesn't show what product was bought. I told them that Comet went on liquidation and I can get any more prove. they told me they can not send someone to fix the fridge. I asked them for a full refund as they not providing me with the service that I paid and they told me they need to keep £15.00 of admin fees. I am very disappointed and frustrated with their service.

Unfortunately, these procedures mean that we were unable to process your claim as you were unable to provide the required documentation.
