“Stay clear. A massive scam. Have take n our money and have not delivered or refunded. We have had to call police. Please beware of this scam”

“Not a great experience I’m afraid to say. The delivery company said they would deliver on a day between 8:00-18:00. Not only did they not show after waiting for the whole day, but there was also no communication. Turned up the day later. Then unpacking..most of the screws were missing and the framework was bent. the shed itself was of very poor quality. it’s not worth the bother.”

“Double doors flimsy with just 3 horizontal very insufficient stiffeners behind, (no up/down outer side or diagonal stiffeners as is the norm) the doors bow out in the centre like a banana, a 10 year old could break in by flexing the doors open, doors wouldn’t fit had to trim the uneven tops to make true. The window 2mm thick plastic is ridiculously thin may aswell use cling film, shiplap not overlapped in places, gappy, the pathetic thin hinges do not fit flat on top of angled shiplap without making spacers, generally thin flimsy roof, floor and structure made from skinny timber. Black Screw heads too small for toggle latches, they fall through! The other screws soft and snap too easily or round off, will have to strengthen floor, roof and doors to have any chance of lasting a few years. Apart from that its fine.”

“I have been asked to review this company but have not yet received my shed after a month of waiting. The delivery company used is very poor. I waited in all day on the day they said it would be delivered but nothing was received. I am still waiting for an update after 3 days.”

“purchased a summerhouse & tried to book a delivery only to find nearly a week later manufacturer is out of stock & not planning a run. lets see how quick the order is cancelled & deposit returned.”

“Very disappointed with the quality of the build. Had to delay building the summer house by two months due to damaged panel and replacement panel also being damaged. Had to replace the veranda flooring boards as they were too thin and one actually broke when stood on.”

“Really disgusted with these charlotons!. I ordered an 8 ft by 4 foot shed, pais for an 8ft x 4ft base laying... What do you get for your money?.... It ain't an 8x4 shed!.... They deceptively measure it by the size of the roof which overhangs 6 inches... That's just dishonest and it's too small for what I bought it for!........ Really disappointed, total waste of money!!.... Be honest and state the CORRECT size!!!”

“Shed turned up on time , very poor quality lots of knots holes in shed where knots had fallen out of the wood before delivery , very large gap between doors both doors together are 22 mm smaller than the gap they are supposed to fill. Complaint passed straight through to the manufacturer who just said I can fill the knot holes with wood filler, so why did they not do this before delivery. This is 10 mm holes in more than one panel. Gap in doors is normal are was told to fit an extra piece of wood to a door to cover , none of which is in the barely adequate instructions. Will never buy another shed from here as the quality is so low for their shed build with “ superior materials” , laughable is the only word for it”

“I bought this shed as the lead times were short. I also hired a carpenter to remove the old shed and re position this one. He thought the old shed was far superior even though it was 10-12 years old and half the cost as the new shed was pretty much half the section sizes of the old one with the main frame being weak due to its cross sectional size. I spent £180.00 upgrading the floor as it wouldn't take any weight, I have to by new windows as the micro thin clear plastic is next to useless. The expensive edpm roof kit was trashed so I had to buy another adhesive (£20.00 inc delivery)..... This is a toy imho so I'll stop there. This is profit before quality and I would never ever consider a shed from this company again especially as the overall cost wasn't cheap either. (Yes, I know timber has increased in price but this isn't an argument).”

“Ordered two sheds and two bases nearly a month ago. The bases arrived straightaway. Contacted the company to be advised that the sheds would come 14-28 days later and that we should put the bases down ready. Have chased the sheds today to be advised that they are out of stock and they don't know when they will be available again. Have therefore cancelled the order and asked for the bases to be collected. Was told that as we have used it we cannot return them and the delivery charge of £30 was for the bases not the sheds. Absolutely terrible customer service.”

“Lack of information, very frustrating. Delivery date inaccurate. We were not told our 2 sheds coming from different companies. Second shed vastly inferior. Rough wood and measurements several inches short of advertised size. My excitement of planning major garden redevelopment somewhat diluted.”

“Like so many people during the pandemic, we decided to buy a summerhouse to make best use of our large garden. The summerhouse we purchased met or needs. The installation time was long (again due to the pandemic), we waited patiently, I emailed the installation team and asked what size base I needed, "A little bigger than the summerhouse" I was informed (ie: 10ft x 8ft) base built and we waited. Installation day (some 3 months after we purchased the siummerhouse) installation team (man and his female partner). never have i met such a difficult person than the installer (the man ? name) obtuse, full of his own self importance and just downright rude and difficult. He refused to erect the summerhouse as it didn't have a minimum of 2 feet clearance around it (I wasn't advised of this but apparently it's hidden in the t&c's). I telephoned the installation company (? a subsidiary of sheds.co.uk) to A) Complain this wasn't highlighted and B) The rudeness of the installation team. To be told abruptly "You should've read t&c's more clearly! and as for the rudeness of the installation team....."well! thats your word against his!!" shocked at this response but with no option to await another installation date (8 weeks later) the same installation team arrived and again the rudeness and abruptness of the male part of this team (the female 'his wife ? girlfriend was quiet and seemed embarrassed by her partners behaviour) I telephoned the installation team to be told by 'Lee' ? supervisor/manager that this was "just his way he can be abrupt but he's just a bit abrupt at times'. My review doesn't do justice to the nuances of the interactions I had with sheds.co.uk installation team and based on the poor customer service I have received I would advise others to think twice before making a purchase via sheds.co.uk as you may well get a delayed installation and then when they do arrive to install your shed/summerhouse it will be made so much more difficult than it ever needed to be. I would not recommend this company and advise that you buy locally, as they will have a more customer friendly approach than some faceless online company who clearly don't care if you receive a good service or not. To date I have not had an apology or contact from the company....I guess the money is in their bank! (working in the NHS as a senior clinician my hard earned money will be spent elsewhere in future)....so what do they care if I'm happy with their service .... I'll tell family friends colleagues and anyone else who will listen, don't buy from sheds.co.uk as your buying experience will be spoilt by poor customer service.”

“I was looking for a metal shed and they had a good price and implied it was in stock. I have now paid and over a week later no shed, no invoice, no answer to my questions! DO NOT BUY FROM sheds.co.uk (or their alta ego sixty.co.uk)”

“Shed came with broken parts absolutely nightmare Trying to get replacement, no news when I shall be getting replacement parts and now have no shed and nowhere to put my stuff, yet no ones seems to care as they have your money already”

“Don't buy a shed from this company unless you are prepared to stay in all day and wait as the delivery company gives you a 10 hours time slot and won't even send you a text to say morning or afternoon - and Sheds.co.uk were just so unhelpful when I asked them if they could chase up delivery - they just told me it was scheduled for that day - as soon as they take your money they just don't care about the delivery process. When it was eventually delivered at 4.45pm, the driver proceeded to dump it on the pavement and it took over 20 mins and 3 people to disassemble and carry into my garden, that is where the fun started, the instructions are hopeless, there are not enough larger screws, it took 2 people 2 days to put up and that is experienced workmen - never again will i use this company.”
