ordering easy but the product was absolutely awful! Tried to let the company know the problems but all they seemed to want to do was tell me that I should have returned it. The sides were not the same size, the doors did not fit and the threshold was unsupported. If we had not needed to ensure we had the shed in situ as a matter of urgency we would have returned it.

It's only when things go wrong, that you see what a company is like. So, here is my honest review of sheds.co.uk (Sixty Stores). After finding a perfect shed, at a great price i used their chat window to make sure that delivery and installation would be done in time for some artificial grass to be laid in my back garden. I had booked the grass months in advance and their installation date was non-moveable. The chat advisor said that as the item was in stock it would be no issue to deliver and install the shed before my deadline of 22nd February... great i thought, so i ordered online and paid for their installation service too. That afternoon (31st Jan) the £700 was taken from my credit card. After not hearing anything for a week i thought i would call and see when delivery would be as the 3rd party installer had already contacted me to arrange installation. It was then i was told the shed was out of stock, and would not be ready for delivery until after the 25th feb (when my grass was being done). I checked online (6th Feb) and the shed is still being sold as 'in stock' when it blatantly isn't, in fact today 11th feb they still say its 'In stock', and again being told it isn't. When i contacted 'after sales care' on 6th Feb - again i had heard nothing from them saying the shed was out of stock and i believe they wouldn't have told me until i contacted them - i was offered a lower quality shed. I responded with my thoughts and i'm still awaiting a reply... nearly 2 weeks after i ordered the shed, they take the money and don't really seem to care how it impacts their customers. I have further chased twice more and no response.

Wendy Shepherd has ignored my call requests to resolve my (very ongoing) issue and hasn't had the decency to speak with me regarding this. All of the uncomfortable calls have been left with Kirsty from Mercia whose hands are tied with was she can do but at least understands the frustration we are having. I hope this page is monitored and someone can call to resolve asap as I refuse to spend another weekend with a product not fit for purpose. Wendy - I am happy to take a call from you at any time day or night!

I was told I’d get a call 30 mins prior to delivery. This did not happen and shed was dumped outside. No one rang the doorbell and now I’m stuck without any help to get it in. The delivery man said he could come back but couldn’t help me get it in. What on Earth is the point of that.

Hello, Thank you for your honest review. I’m sorry to hear of the issues you've had with your order. Unfortunately our drivers are not insured to carry the shed through the property but he would of been able to come back and place the shed in a more suitable place. If you would like one of our members of the customer service team to contact you please let me know.

Very very poor quality. Didn't get delivered all the parts me needed to complete the shed. The instructions wasn't very clear. Would not buy again. I've wasted a lot of money.

My husband was sickened by the quality, size and materials of the delivered shed which was unsatisfactory – My husband was relieved to have been there at the delivery to be able to direct the driver to return it to the warehouse. I am also adding that my husband was very upset. Proportionally and observing the material quality, it looked nothing like the picture! My husband also considered the product damaged as there were nails detruding from the woodwork We are presently waiting our refund - Prior to purchasing I discussed with Sales Advisor Max Whitehead help@sixty.co.uk regarding a refund in the event we did not like the product or the product could not be installed in time for our move

Very poor service. Tried to speak to a sales adviser 3 times before buying, no luck. Then bought and was given a delivery date double of what was advertised. Cancelled order

If I could leave zero score I would. 3 hours on hold to be cut off. Arranged for delivery today knowing full well the delivery firm would not be delivering the summer house. Although I recieved an email yesterday saying it would be delivered today between 7-7!!! I would never have ordered if I had have been told it would be Monday delivery two days after the birthday party it was needed for. So now have the difficulty of explaining to my autistic granddaughter that her 16th birthday Spa party will not be happening!

I ordered a shed and wanted installation also, however the installation could not be done for 11 days after the shed's delivery therefore I cancelled the installation asked for a refund and decided to put the shed up myself. My issue is with the customer service who I have had to chase up constantly for a response and when they do communicate their communication is sparse and robotic. They took over a month to credit the refund to my bank - no email to let me know - but I see they have deducted £47 from the refund. Still in the process of trying to get them to explain this and waiting again for a response. NEVER BUYING FROM THEM AGAIN. If they can't refund you promptly and can't communicate I feel I'm being ripped off.

i only got a confirmation of the delivery, not the purchase itself! It was easy to place the order but extremely hard to cancel it.

The one star is for the price. It was cheap. In every way. Both the materials it was made from and the construction of the shed, were cheap. The installation instructions are pathetic, the customer service indifferent, and the anti-rot guarantee misleading, in my opinion. First the ‘10 year anti-rot guarantee’ which they loudly advertise on the homepage of each shed. When our shed arrived, I noticed the side panels all looked painted with preservative, but the base and roofing boards looked a lighter colour. So I phoned to see if I had to treat them myself. I was shocked when the lady on the phone told me I had to paint the whole shed with preservative, myself, straightaway, or my guarantee would be invalid. Not just the base and roof boards, the whole shed. She said that they had only been ‘dip treated’ for transit, but if I left them in the rain for just a few days, it would affect them, and the guarantee would be invalid. I think this was highly misleading as they advertise ‘dip treated’ as some kind of plus, implying some kind of protection, but actually it’s a minus, because it makes you think it might be protected for at least a year after installation. Not so, be warned. You won’t find anything about this on the shed sales page. All you will find is the statement saying for the 10 year guarantee to be valid you’ll have to regularly treat the shed with preservative, which is fair enough as you’d expect. But you have to go right to the small print at the bottom, click on the link ‘Terms and Conditions’, then scroll right down to the bottom of the Terms and Conditions, to find out that for the ‘Anti-Rot Guarantee’ to be valid, you have to treat the shed ‘prior to or shortly after construction’. Moreover, the guarantee only covers fungal decay and insect attack. Not warping or splitting of the timber over time. Since my shed arrived with some of the materials already warped, and with some small splits, I guess my guarantee was already invalidated when it arrived. The guarantee said it would also be invalidated if ‘the building has not been constructed or installed as per the instructions’ (which is pretty difficult, more about that below), or ‘customised in any way’ (which in our case was impossible to avoid, more about that below). So in my opinion the guarantee isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. I emailed the company to complain, they didn’t want to know. Okay, next to the installation instructions. To say they are inadequate would be an understatement. In parts they are vague, unclear, incomplete, and downright misleading. Parts of the diagrams and text are in the wrong order. And at several points during installation we were left scratching our heads, and resorted to going on other companies’ websites to try and get a better idea. I did contact the company to ask if we could be sent more detailed or clearer instructions, they fobbed me off and said they’d get the supplier to send me some by email, as soon as. That was the last week in November. As of today (third week in December) they still haven’t arrived, and I expect they never will. So we had to make do the best we could by going to similar shed sites with more useful installation information. All in all took us three weeks to finish the shed from start to finish, because whenever we hit a problem which the instructions didn’t make clear, we had to go home (we were building the shed on an allotment), and look for information online. And we work during the week, so only had the weekends to erect the shed, which we had hoped to do in one weekend. So if you are not a competent DIY-er or work in construction, I would avoid buying a shed from this company, unless you are prepared to fork out £132 extra for their ‘home installation service’. Next to the shed materials. The overlapping wood feels quite flimsy, so you have to treat it with kid gloves when erecting, and some of the planks were already coming away from the framing, with the nail heads sticking out 1/8 of an inch or so, and having to be hammered back in. Also the framing battens that strengthen the back of the doors were off by about 1/8 to ¼ of an inch, which gave two problems. On the hinge side, the door wouldn’t sit flat to the frame of the shed. And in the centre where the doors met (it was a double-door shed), they wouldn’t close. So we had to resort to sawing off a ¼ inch of the battens to botch it. It also meant no matter how much we tried, we couldn’t get the hinge to sit flat to the frame. So the ‘safe and secure hidden door hinges’ they advertise, is complete BS, as anyone with a jimmy or big screwdriver would probably be able to jam it in the gap caused by the hinges, and prise the door off. The ‘plate hasp and staple latch’ that they trumpet, is useless. It don’t think it was actually aluminium but it almost felt like it, so flimsy it felt like I could cut through it with a pair of hefty scissors, or could prise it off easily. So I bought a proper one from a hardware store. Finally, there are only 4 battens underneath the base, and it bounced when walked on, so we had to fit an extra three in between to make it more stable. Oh, and they won’t deliver to allotments, even if you ask them pretty please. We had to have it delivered to a pub nearby and transport it round ourselves. So there you go, sheds.co.uk sell cheap sheds, but when you count up all the additional expense you have to go to, and the shoddiness of the materials, workmanship, instructions and customer service, they’re a complete pain, in my opinion. It feels like it would have been less hassle to just build the shed from scratch ourselves. I’m not saying never buy from them, but know what you’re getting into. If we ever buy a shed again, we’ll go somewhere else and pay a bit more for better quality and less hassle.

Ordered a patio set cover which was on website as In Stock, Next Day Delivery, it did not turn up next day or next working day, contact to be told it's out of stock & should have had an email, which I didn't. Said they would process a refund which would take 3-6 working days. Not acceptable.... Website still says In Stock, Next Day Delivery!!!!!!

Summerhouse was advertised as being available for delivery within 2 to 3 working days.o This was perfect for a birthday gift on 24th November. I selected and paid and was asked my prefered delivery date, which I chose Thursday, 22nd November. Delivery date arrived and no order. Re eived E-mail requesting me to choose a delivery date (earliest available 7/12/18. Contacted company and they said that the item was not in stock when I ordered but they allowed people to order items that were expected to be in stock within 3 weeks. Not happy, but thought ist could be a Christmas present instead. Order arrived with parts missing. I told them they could collect it back or if they insisted delivering the missing parts, I would expect a discount as it would not arrive for Christmas. No answer. Several days later, with no contact, received a message from another del. company informing me a delivery would be with me within two hours. I had doctor's appointment. They left the missing parts. I asked when I could have my discount. They said no discount. The item by the way is showing that it is now £900+, implying it is in the sale. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY they mislead you

Shed was delivered damaged, replacement panels took 2 weeks and they were also damaged. Cancelled order but sheds.co.uk wouldn't give me a refund until the shed had been collected, I waited 3 weeks for the shed to be collected. The shed supplier (3rd party supplier not sheds.co.uk) said they would only collect when they were in the area at the end of the day when the lorry was empty. Then was told the accounts dept at sheds.co.uk can take 30 days to issue refunds. Luckily I received within 3 days. I don't think my issues were resolved quickly enough with the supplier. However sheds.co.uk customer service kept me informed throughout and were very sympathetic of my issues. I wouldn't recommend or use again.

Very unprofessional company I wouldn’t recommend sheds.co.uk to anyone. They take your money then cancel your order the next day without informing you until you call up to ask where your order is. Complete waste of time
