“Love the shed, however constant leaking is causing real issues, just cannot get it watertight and tried everything, feel really disappointed after spending so much money. Can you please advise on next steps. Many Thanks Paul Potts 78 Cambridge Drive Otley”

“My garden building order from Sheds.co.uk was delivered on 07/01/2019 and signed as unchecked which was practical at the time. Unique Booking Ref: ORD1757196 Sheds.co.uk Order number: S-00053762 On starting to erect the shed the poor quality of construction was all too evident. The base timbers that rest on the base were not attached to the base correctly and will need to be removed and replaced. Two of the timbers , including one at a front edge overlap the base by about an inch as shown in the attached photographs. One of those timbers has in fact broken during delivery at a significant knot in the timber. Hopefully no further problems will be found on erection which has now been delayed. I am not at all impressed by the quality of workmanship or indeed quality, especially as Sheds.Co.Uk stated that it was a superior quality to the one that I first enquired about. Graham Martin”

“Shed delivered as assured, however it was soaking, the water was within the plastic wrapping. On drying out the wood lost shape and required attention to straighten, the trim I replaced at my own expense as I could not be bothered waiting or responding to requirements of Sheds direct. I would not recommend this company and the damage should have been avaoided.”

“The price was good but you clearly get what you pay for. The frame is flimsy and not well put together. The wood just splits when screwing anything in and came with some of the panels split. Not very happy overall with what we got.”

“Didn't receive automatic confirmation of purchase when ordered online. Ordered on a Sunday but would still expect some acknowledgement. Had to call up to get a confirmation email and pdf order receipt sent out. Still have not received any further information on dispatch or delivery dates and it's now Wednesday. Hopefully the product arrives soon and in perfect condition.”

“Sadly the shed is more flimsy than we expected and the delivery man was reluctant to help take it to the garden (which wasn't far!) when he got here unfortunately, he seemed like he was in a very big rush. The online process was good and the updates too, though I wasn't quite expecting it to be delivered quite so early at 7.30am!”

“I ordered I "premium range shed", the exact opposite from what I received, the floor and roof panels are construrcted of osb which were damamaged at all ends. The windows are flimsily which barely fit, the centre roof support is one single strip of wood approximately 30mm totally inadequate. After the last couple of days of wind and rain almost all lower panels of supposidly pressure treated panels let water through. Also I never received the two hour window in which the delivery was supposed to happen, delivery driver phoned to say he was at my door when I asked why didn't I get a call to say when he would be arriving, he said he didn't have my number ( don't know how he managed to contact me ) wouldn't recommend this company this was by far not the cheapest option £430 for 6x8. Had to replace the window today with some as flimsily plastic couldn't handle winter weather.”

“Placed the order and picked a day for delivery as per the website and the delivery did not arrive When it did arrive one of the doors was very poor quality as the wooden batton where the hinge attaches appears to be rotten I requested a replacement door but was sent a piece of wood to carry out the repair myself Totally unacceptable and would not recommend”

“Ordered an 8x6 shed with a tin of stain and additional floor boards. The tin of stain and additional floor boards were not delivered with the shed so had to go out and source these items locally.”

“bottom cross piece miss nailed to upright. knot meant it broke and was difficult to part from transport piece. had to put a batton accross knot to replace. door jammed in doorway and had to be reduced. I was to erect it in one afternoon (Tuesday) with my son but ran out of time, he isn't off work now till Sunday.”

“Order delivered to wrong address. It took me 5 days to track down where the order had been delivered too and I picked up the items from the address myself. Sheds.co.uk did not track down which address the DPD Courier had delivered the items too. Also when I finally checked the order there was an item missing which really summed up my experience.”

“missing parts (screws, window perspex missing completely and z-brackets for roof), no confirmation of delivery time, poor quality wood used, some batons broke as they were fitted. would not recommend.”

“The reason for ordering off this company was the 48 hour delivery promise. The shed did not arrive on the promised day, and it was only after threatening to cancel the order that I received another delivery date.”

“All was great at first, easy to order and the shed arrived on the day that we'd selected. When we came to build the shed, however, the door gable had been put together really shoddily. Most of the nails had been stapled in at an angle so were only going through one part of the cladding rather than two, and in some cases the nails were so poorly positioned that the cladding wasn't attached to the frame. We decided it wasn't ok to continue and filled in the form online. They're not open weekends it seems so no reply until the Monday. They offered to replace the door gable, which was fine, but said it would take 7 - 10 days. Seemed a little long but ok. However that meant that we didn't have time to build it ourselves so would require it to be built. Despite this situation being caused by the company they refused to offer us a discount on the build which costs £140. All they were prepared to offer me was £20 to fix it myself... We then received no warning when the replacement part would arrive, just a text message at 6:30am on the day that it turned up. Luckily I have a flexible job so was able to take the morning to wait in at the last minute, but had I not I'm not sure what they expected us to do. The guy who was building the shed was very elusive, taking 48 hours to respond to emails sometimes but in the end the shed was built and it's fine, however I wouldn't recommend this company as I firmly believe that if you cause a customer additional expense and inconvenience because of a shoddy product you should offer some form of compensation. We wanted to build it ourselves to save money and had earmarked a weekend to do it on, but ended up having to fork out to have it built.”
