“Delivered on a different date (10 days early) than expected came home to find the shed panels outside. No email to confirm that the order had been dispatched. The product itself i would describe as poorly finished. Some warping of panels and individual timber components, some screws that were intended to join two pieces of wood together did not actually penetrate the second piece of wood. The floor resembled two pieces of wooden pallet. Side panels completely different shade of colour. None of the above was noticed until the shed was assembled ten days after delivery. Overall a product of poor quality obviously manufactured to maximise profit.”

“Shed turned up supposed to be 5 feet x 10 feet. I can't tell at this point as it arrives in loads and loads of small panels. The instructions I was sent are for a 5 feet x 7 feet shed? So tried calling for help at 4:50 only to keep getting the phone line hung up.. not great customer service”

“My summer house purchased in May this year has quality problems and I am extremely disappointed, but the worst thing about the saga is that these people do not respond to customer complaints. I have contacted them multiple times and sent photographs of the problem but all I have received are automatic acknowledgements. They don't seem to see any need for good customer service. My recommendation would be : AVOID”

“We did not received the product we ordered, having called the number provided, no answer, very frustrating and no doubt a prolonged process while they hold our money and until we receive the summerhouse and not the shed they decided to send.”

“Just about everything. 8x6' pent shed bought with recommended 8x6' Portabase which is actually wrong according to Mercia who make the shed and base!!! We built the base before realizing the fault (the 2 floorboards are different to those in the instructions!! and run the wrong way so they collapse down in between the base joists. Now being told I have to dismantle the base and carry it to my front garden. AND no refund for a delay of a month. Decided to change the floor myself- I can't cope with anymore stress. or delays. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. See the number of 1 star ratings on trustpilot this year - any many, like me, would give no stars, but of course, you cannot award no stars- Why not??”

“Had ordered to be delivered to new address however due to finance side of order didn't match so they could not deliver to new address and could not guarantee delivery to old address before we moved. Cancelled it.”

“I ordered a shed from this company and there was several problems it has been very shoddily put together, with the pieces of wood bent I’ve had to ask for pieces to be replaced and buy items such as pieces of wood so the windows would actually fit , if I hadn’t paid someone to put it together I would have asked for a refund”

“Terrible service. Shed arrived with doors damaged. You couldn’t tell from the packaging so it arrived in January and got build 5weeks later which is when we realised. Sent pictures etc. Chased lots of times now in August they have finally said they will replace the doors but there will be a charge due to not informing them in January. When asked what the amount will be no reply for weeks again. Terrible. Would never use again.”

“Would not use again. Shed outsourced to Shire Sheds who delivered 3 weeks later after promising delivery only to change it on the day to the following week. When it did come only half the shed was fit for purpose, the rest was damaged and so returned and I am still chasing the other half. It has been several weeks, numerous emails, they’ve been told 3 times which parts I require and still I am waiting, all this while they still have my money. Would definitely not deal with this company or Shire Sheds ever again; way too much stress.”

“Ordered online my shed and selected delivery date. Order did not arrive and after speaking to customer service there had been an error at some point between Shed.co.uk and supplier order had not been processed. After several emails and telephone calls the matter has been resolved best as it can be. I await my hut delivery hopefully without any other issues. Customer service is very good as they pulled out all the stops to fix the problem. Will review the hut once I have it.”

“I ordered and paid for a Loxley shed with a wooden floor. A Shire Arran shed with an OSB floor was delivered. I rang Sheds.co.uk but only got a recorded message to say they dont take phone calls. I emailed them but got no reply. They say on their website that they give great customer service. In my experience it is non existent”

“Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend the overlap 7 x 3 bike shed. It is smaller than advertised, the panels floor,doors and wood finishing strips are warped. The felt for the roof was squashed and cracked. Very disappointed”

“At £500 for a 6x8 shed this wasn’t cheap. The materials supplied including the wood, windows, roof felt and even the nails for the felt are of very poor quality. There was only just enough felt for the roof which didn’t allow for much overlap. Ended up getting a better one. The nails are only 2mm and not long enough to secure the felt through the wood beneath - ended up getting longer ones as the wind blew it off! The shed has been constructed for 7 months and already the very thin bits of timber are splitting and I’m having to add more bracing to the rear of the doors to keep them together. Still, it’s had a wood treatment on it and just about keeps the rain off the mower and garden tools. Can’t see it lasting more than a couple of years. Next time I will go to a timber merchant and actually view the sheds.”
