This is perhaps the most dificult review I have had to write. If I was just going to review the sales lady who dealt with me then it would be a certain 5 stars; but, I am not, it is the garage as a whole. I must admit I have never brought my reservations regarding Leon FR to them yet so please bear with me. This car SHOULD be V fast straight from garage, but it is not, my previous DS3 Sport would leave this for dead, I was assured this 1.8 version would be lots faster, ha! Not the case. So, really speaking I should not have to go back to garage only 50 miles after a brand new car. Hence, I should have no needs to feel I have to write this, car should be spot on from day 1. Agreed everyone ? @ £21,000 oh but yes. I will go back one day but been much too unwell of late. If it is resolved with a reasonable explanation I will move to a 5 stars, as wasn`t such a bad experience I guess. Sorry G H. Big smiley.

The sales process deserves a rating of Good, as the buying experience was pleasurable, with no pressure sales, only good customer service. However, this was marred by my post-sales experience, as I have a problem with how the suspension/shock absorbers make the car feel like a bone-shaker to drive and consequently. I also have an annoying rattle in the boot/tailgate. On contacting the salesperson by email about this, disappointingly I was just advised to get in touch with the Service desk. I would have appreciated and expected a greater degree of ownership from Sales to my problem, rather than expecting me to sort this out. I am now having to wait until 10 September (the car was bought on 1 August) before the Service Department can fit me in on a necessary Saturday, Hence my rating has had to be downgraded from Good to Acceptable.

The overall opinion would be good, but when it came to the day of purchase everything went wrong. The dealer did not polish the scratches that we have reported and left the car with flat battery! I cannot imagine how they did that and not even checked the battery before we arrived! Instead of offering us original car mats for an extra charge they simply gave us the car with none. So basically - they are nice when you are about to buy. They can say you a lot of good words and offer their help. But, when it comes to the end they simply do a minimal effort.

Overall the buying experience and staff are professional in there explanation of the buying options and finance arrangements on offer. The little dissatisfaction I have, is the communication that is relayed when there are problem`s. Be honest from the go, don't hide the facts, I as a customer prefer to know there is a concern and not be told a blatant lie.

I wasn't going to bother writing a review - it's just buying a car for goodness sake but having just had a visit from the local constabulary wanting an explanation of why the vehicle had been registered with the address of the local fire station thought I ought to. This after I specifically told them that they had the wrong address when I went to pick the car up. What more can I say.

Love the car that I got! It's a great little car and perfect for what I need it for! I can imagine getting plenty of happy miles out of it. The sales person Georgia was very helpful and provided me with all the information I needed. I do however think the sales manager could do with training on how to deal with customers as saying "if you don't want to pay that don't buy it, someone else will come along", even though in the end I was asking for a 3% reduction in the price because of items I felt needed to be rectified on the car (which I was told it would be looked at, but I don't think it was) is really a poor standard of building any relationship up with a customer and ultimately means having standing stock of vehicles that I'm sure head office would prefer to have sold, he also used terrible sales patter and used the Internet as an excuse as to why he wouldn't lower the price (p.s paid top end value of the car, but he said it was already very keenly priced) even though I've since found scratches on the car and the steering is out and I'm sceptical that the rear breaks were checked as they seem to make awful noises on a morning (spongy), so I don't think the top end value of the car was worth it. My problem is I don't really have time to go back and forth to garages as I should have had all necessary checks done in the first place. Also when you call to ask for something don't expect a call back, I phoned up wanting an accessory for my SEAT about a week ago and I still haven't received a call. So I just contacted the SEAT customer team who were helpful. Overall it's been an okay experience, it wasn't great. I don't go to car dealerships to have arguments or battles in order to get a good price for a car and nor do I have the time or the patience to listen to dribble from someone who seemingly promotes bad customer service.

Wise to reserve judgement until later . It depends on after sales service. Every dealer is sweetness and light when you are buying.

The car i bought was great and was dealt with by terry at sg petch durham was good to, when going to pick the car up things that had been spoken about were not resolved i.e scratches on car rear passenger side above door, rip in driver seat leather, scratces indents in rear passanger side door, paid £9000 for this car and the finer details for me should have been dealt with alot better, cannot fault the service otherwise. Thanks Andrew carrick

Our mazda3 2lt nav auto is absolutely wonderful, perhaps the best car we have ever driven. The purchase was not as straight forward as it could have been, by retaining our cherished number plate, we came up against several, frustrating situations. The computer constantly confused the car we exchanged with the car we were buying, which caused endless problems for us and the DVLA. Things are now sorted and we can enjoy our new car. Darren Borland was extremely helpful and sorted the problems admirably for us

Slightly disappointed with service received following car purchase. Nothing major but could be better. Car only had one key so had to book in to get new key coded, this should really have been sorted before they sold us the car. Also there was no handbook, they ordered one but when it came was for wrong model so now have to go back again to dealership . Final point the salesman never mentioned car came with RAC cover and I had renewed my Green flag cover before we found out.

Very excited about our car purchase, little disappointed about the promised valet on the car, we did point out some issues when we saw it first time. Took the edge off the purchase when showing off to a relative, who also pointed out the marks. The salesman did apologise when he dropped off the car manual and service book ( which had gone MISSING) I know the garage was very busy on the day we collected the car, but,
