For an MOT - Firstly they damaged my car but refused to accept it, and secondly they told me I immediately needed work doing. I didn’t believe them as my mechanic looks after my car. He told me that what I needed fixing could last another year on my car.

I booked my car in for a service and a MOT. They decided to first do the service and then the car failed it’s MOT... any ethical company would surely do the MOT first then a service especially with an 11 yer old car!!! Then next came the quote... I needed a spring coil and 2 roll bar joints... £650!!!!!!! I nearly chocked and was brought to tears on public transport. I called up a local garage to see how much the could do the work for and guess what... £150!! I was shocked this is day light robbery absolute cowboys!!! When I went to collect my car the garage said they would do the same work for £200 which I opted for as it was convenient. When I asked where the £650 charge can from the informed me that servicing stop add extra changes on. Do not use this company!!!! It seems great and cheap at first but the bill keeps going and growing and growing! Stick to your trusted local garages and support indolent companies!

The only reason they have got 1* is because you can't rate lower 1) My car was booked in on 27/06/2018 (my car was not allocated to a garage) 2) Then re booked in on 28/06/2018 my car was picked up late. 3) When I tried to pay there was an error and I was told I’d get a call back (I didn’t I had to try another 3 times to pay. 4) When I called the garage at 17:15 to ask how long my car would be I was told the car has not been paid for so can’t be released. 5) I called Servicestop to ask what was going on and was waiting 8min before anyone picked up. 6) When I did speak to someone Dunfah, they told me the work was been done and it would be with me as soon as possible (but no time give) I asked him to check and he said he would and call me straight back. 7) At 18:05 I called and was told that the person dealing with my call has left. It seems he ended my call and then left, I was then told again that they would call me back after talking to the garage but they could see there was a note saying it would be with by 19:00 (where did this information come from and why wasn’t I informed)

Bargain, £140 (ish) for Mercedes E250 full service & MOT! Prices guaranteed? 60% cheaper than main dealer...You bet I'll have a bit of that! Car collection, on time early am. Then it was late afternoon and I received a phone call stating 'you car is on the ramp, fluids and filters being done. The technician has noticed your car requires a larger Mercedes service!' So they were phoning me to tell me it was going to cost me more than the quote...£430 (ish)!!!! I felt like I didn't have a choice... Cars unable to drive, no fluids/filters (so they said) so I agreed. Car returned, dirty and to be informed...' error, roads are a bit muddy near me!' then I found out the garage was over 20 +miles away! TELL EVERYONE NOT TO TAKE THE OFFER. They also offer a price guarantee for the following year for £25! I could have had a 3yr Mercedes service plan for £400 per year to cover whichever service it required!

Booked service and MOT through Servicingstop (SS) MM phoned me before the test to tell me my airbag light was coming on and this would be a MOT fail. Not knowing better I agreed to have it done. I then remembered that this light is always on and that it has passed every Mot since I had the car including last year at a different garage booked through SS.I then checked with the manual and discovered this light IS meant to come on, and even the MOT website features this as one of the most common testers mistakes. I sent all this information to SS who contested my claim and after 2 months of numerous emails still no result just delay tactics ( I think from the garage) The worst part is that the light is still coming on, which obviously it is meant to do, they asked for a video of the light which I sent thinking this must convince them but no they expect me to go all the way to Romford to explain what I have already sent them ( I previously complained that they had chosen a garage too far from me) I'm 69 with a severe case of sciatica which is why I chose Servicing Stop in the first place, I only use my car for short journeys so this defeats the object of me using them. Either there was no need to "fix" the light in the first place or they didn't do anything to it. I just want a refund.

unhappy I was booked my car service and price was 106£ after they took my car they called to me and said the price will be higher327£. I have the worst opinion about their services. I was and I asked for a second opinion at two other garages. both said the same: the oil was not changed, just completed. , the board computer has not been reset to show me normal parameters after full service, etc. Conclusion: I paid £ 327 for nothing. Before I contact them, I should have read the bad reviews about the complaints they have.

Will NOT use these ever again!!! I booked interim service for 29/5/18 to be picked up between 8-9am the guy turned up at 10-30, he was friendly enough. Phone call later to say need special oil and complete drain and refill of break fluid, I refused break fluid as price was unbelievable. Some driver returned my car around 6pm. Informed me they can’t get the service required of my dash board but they have s car booked in for 18/6/18 in this area so will call to complete it then. I phoned on 18/6/18 to remind they had nothing booked in said someone will phone. No phone call I phoned the next day to be informed they didn’t have my number 🤔. Was I filmed finding would call me later. No call AGAIN. Phoned today to be asked could I take my car to them as manager was out and another driver had been in an accident. I said NO. The point in me booking was for them to collect etc whilst I went up work I adkecgor hhe manager to call me as I am very disappointed with the service. NO phone call and I still have the service required on my dash and the fonder light 🤬

I have been robbed by your company of £700 and the car still did not pass its MOT. I have had the most stressful and disgraceful service from your company. I am going to speak to Consumer Direct about your pricing practices. you make up charges and charge over 100% commission. Do not use this service ...

Booked full service and MOT for 11th June. Less than 2 hours after collection, received a call from them, telling me that MOT FAILED, on a number of items. Apparently, there were 7 Major Defects, 3 Minor Defects and 5 Advisories. They then asked me if I want to hear, what would it cost to repair the issues and pass the MOT, I said yes. It took them a minute, to come up with a ridiculous and show-stopping - £1300 or so (about a third of car's value). I obviously declined. 4 days later I took the car for MOT to KWIK-FIT (without doing any repairs whatsoever). It PASSED with only 1 advisory. Basically, it was an obvious attempt to get money out of me, for work that was not even needed. I would never use this service again, nor recommend it to anyone.

For me they are liars and cheaters. I was booked my car service and price was 105£ after they took my car they called to me and said the price will be higher 435£. After that I was called back and said I would like to cancel all works witch is not including in basic service. They approve it. After two hours they called me back and said I have to pay 430£ because they finish work and if I don’t pay they will not give back my car. So I’m payed. Next day I was check what they done. Nothing. Only change the filters and oil. When I was called to garage witch took my car and ask what they done yesterday, they said only basic service like I’m said. Now I’m trying to get my money back.

The whole point of this company is that they collect and return the vehicle and find a garage to do the work. I went online on 4th June and booked an MOT test for my car for the 13th June. Immediately after the online booking the company phoned me and explained how everything worked - it felt like good service. I was impressed at the point of sale but this was crushed when it turned out there was no substance behind it. Two days before the MOT test date, I received an email from them saying I needed to contact them as a matter of urgency. When I phoned I was told that Service Stop was unable to collect and drop the car and the only option was for me to take it to the garage myself - the garage they had booked was too far away. I can't book a day off work at such short notice, my car MOT expires tomorrow... Thanks, Servicing Stop! The only bit you needed to do; you couldn't. But you decided to wait until the last minute to tell me.

The booking process was easy to setup, the driver who collected my car was friendly and professional. I was rang later in the afternoon in regards to my cars result of it's MOT and Service, the sales person was barraging me with repairs that seemed unnecessary for my car. I then asked him what failed on my car for the MOT, the sales assistant then informed me that it was the wiper blades and a bulb which he automatically selected the highest priced item without my choice. I then requested for a cheaper part to be used, the sales person obliged with my choices eventually. My car was delivered to me just after the agreed time slot, I was greeted by the same driver who collected the car, again he was friendly and professional and explained all the work that was done and gave me all the paper work, and my service book. I will not be using this company again, based only on my experience with the sales team informing me that if I do not take out the repairs that were read out to me my car would break down and be unsafe. I was told a Full brake and callipers change £320 (four discs and callipers) is required for my vehicle to be safe. I informed the sales person that my car had brake discs on the front and drums on the rear. Again the sales person insisted that I needed the four brake discs. It felt like the sales person was reading from a script on screen and not actually understanding the required parts for my car. I was also told I need a full engine flush at £180, again this felt unnecessary for my car which gets serviced regularly. Overall this is a great service for saving time and hassle when it comes to MOT'ing and servicing your car at an affordable price, but the middle man (sales team) appear to pressurise you to buy overpriced repairs to gain themselves commission.
