The box arrived torn. Also they made me pay extra after a few days and i had already thrown out the box so i could not measure it and send pictures. I had gotten the specific measurements just so i could send it through send my bags

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I can see your shipment was recorded as exceeding the size allowance purchased and an additional fee applied. A member of our team reached out to you on 5th Jan explaining how to dispute the charge but we did not hear back. I can see the team have reached out again this week explaining how you can dispute the charge.

I used this service all the time and recommend to everyone. I booked a bag for my mother from Ireland to Portugal and had had to pay a remote fee which I never had to before and was told it was a system error so would be refunded but I had to pay it first then claim refund! I booked it well I and advance to arrive before the date it was needed to then receive and e-mail saying it was going to take longer! I contacted her he helpline and was told I could get it sent express enabling would have to pay and extra £100! I am disgusted over this as I bragged so much about what a great service it was. I had to cancel in the end and get it brought over on the plane by a family member. I won’t be recommending again that’s for sure

Dear Nicola, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and I apologise for the inconvenience experienced on this occasion. During the booking process our system usually displays an estimated transit time based on live information being received from our network. If live information is unavailable, a transit time is displayed based on historical data, with a warning that the transit time will update once the live system is available. I can see in the case of your booking the live system was unfortunately unavailable at the time of booking. I appreciate the inconvenience this may cause, however as the warning was displayed and as the live system was available and transmitted the updated estimated transit time within 20 minutes of booking, the customer service team would be unable to offer a free upgrade to the express service. I am glad the team were able to arrange a fast no quibble 100% refund and I hope you may give us another chance again in the future. Many Thanks, Send My Bag

The service was great until after it landed. Then wanted extra money for claiming it was over the size. To dispute you needed photos of the measurements and weight of box. Of course by this time the box had been unpacked and discarded. So take photos when sending!! Which they do not tell you

Sent a bag for £19.99 ,then recieved an email claiming it was over weight which was impossible as it was a standard case full of clothes and an invoice for £42 ,total rip off ,won’t use again

Hi David, Thanks for taking the time to leave your review and sorry to hear about the oversize fee. Looking at your order I can see the charge was based on size rather than weight. All items have their dimensions scanned as they move through the network and if they are found to exceed the allowance paid for a charge is raised. Mistakes are rare but can happen, in the email sent notifying you of the charge there is also information on how to dispute it, please have a look at that email and if you would like to dispute it send us an email at reviews@sendmybag.com and we'll be happy to help.

I had to pay for customs even if they were personal belongings because they made a mistake. I talked many times to customer service, escalated it to the manager and still don't have 200Euros back. They said customs don't approve their claim. Send my bag should cover their customers for their mistakes.

I could not believe that state in which my luggage had arrived in. I felt the process of prepping the bag to send it was a massive hassle.

Very bad experience take more then a month to receive my bag and the link me to DHL and got charged for other 100£ for the costumes fee

Excellent organisation, can't speak too highly of the service provided and the efficiency of the people when dealing with any enquiries. The relief of not having to bother with luggage is immense....a big Thank You to Send my Bang

Do yourself a favour and check in the bag instead of using this company. Sendmybag.com subcontracts with a local forwarder (in my case DHL France) and when there are issues they encourage you to deal with them directly (notwithstanding local language limitations). It took 8 calls to the hotel, sendmybag, and DHL to get the bags delivered, and until I spoke to a manager at sendmybag, customer service could not care less about delivering the bags and were blaming me for the issues and clueless about what their subcontractors on the ground do. Much better to ship with DHL directly.

My experience with SendMyBags out of Milan, and their lack of attention to my requests to get a phone call to discuss was shocking. I had to delay my trip home for two days and actually deliver the bags myself to a local FedEx office because FedEx wouldn't pick up my bags on three scheduled occasions. Seems like FedEx didn't know/understand the SendMyBags process and wouldn't pick-up.

I would never use sendmybag.com ever again, and, if you are moving from outside Europe to the UK, I recommend that you do not use them either, unless you are absolutely certain you can get a TOR code beforehand (which is not always possible). Otherwise DHL (the company that does all the heavy lifting for sendmybag.com) will send you a gigantic invoice for import duties. And, DHL don't just charge the duties, they add the cost of entering the lines into the computer (at an extortionate rate). So, even if you try to reclaim the duties back from HMRC later, you cannot reclaim DHL's admin costs. Sendmybag.com does not tell you this - they tell you everything will be fine without a TOR code. In hindsight, I could have just used DHL directly, and at least I would have saved a bit of money on the sendmybag.com fee.
