About Schott Packaging:

We started off as a small family run removal business located in the North East of England, which has grown massively over the last 30 years. As a company using packaging materials on a day to day basis, we decided to extend our business into supplying this industry. “Great boxes but the tape in the combo packs is a bit naff, and not enough. 2-3 bedroom box combo set for a 1.5 bed ground floor maisonette and had to buy 10 more big boxes”

“Would have been 5 stars but the delivery by Yodel was 4 days late, I was away when it did come and they left my package outside on a public footpath in the rain, where it stayed for two days. Amazingly, no one took the package, but that’s more luck than judgement. Boxes were fine overall, except one which had obviously been kicked around the back of a van. so no issue with Schott’s exactly, but they use Yodel so I suggest they re-think that relationship, as I don’t want to repeat an order knowing the same thing could happen again.”

We use Yodel and DPD for our deliveries, both of which have a leave-safe option, but this certainly isn't a public footpath. “I received my case of type in good time but was actually disappointed with the quality, I had ordered the Lownoise celofix tape that I always use but my usual supplier has stopped selling it, it is extremely sticky and strong with a practically silent pull, it is extremely annoying when tape keeps making that horrible squealing sound, I have used tapes that have been absolutely silent but extremely difficult to pull off the roll, until I found celofix, it is easy to come off the roll with virtually no noise, The tape I purchased from you has no branding on it so I can only assume it is a cheaper version of a Lownoise type but unfortunately it still makes quite a noise, I had already bought from another seller and had to send the box back, believe it or not was 3M low noise, The photo below is of a roll of my original celifix tape”

We typically stock the Cellofix brand, but sadly we've been unable to source Cellofix recently (as a result of Brexit & Covid combined!) so we've had to source our Low Noise Packing Tape from elsewhere. “The boxes were delivered in a few days and were as we expected. The sizes of boxes work well however I would recommend purchasing a couple of larger boxes for light items such as bedding. Overall I would recommend.”

“Fast delivery and cost effective - obviously not very thick but works well for packaging smaller items when moving (wouldnt recomment for covering delicate pieces of furniture but for more robust pieces a couple of layers works just fine).”

“I ordered the standard pack for a three bedroom house, which arrived very quickly and met my needs overall, though I had to buy additional bubble wrap after having packed just eight of the small size boxes and some of the boxes had holes in them. It looked like they had been damaged during transport (see photo), but they were still usable. Some wrapping film would have been a useful addition for items unsuited to being packed in boxes.”

“Boxes arrived very quickly, 2 days after I placed the order online which was good. Boxes were sturdy and in good condition. We ordered one of the kits so bubble wrap, marker pen and packing tape was included. Only issue was that the packing tape appeared to be regular cello tape which is no use for packing - it would peel back leaving the box compromised and ready to collapse. We tried to persevere by layering and using cross shapes etc but the tape was just not good enough so we ended buying our own proper packing tape from Tesco. Other than that we were happy with the our purchase.”
