“Really impressed with the customer support service - both the online chat, the email comms and the time spect with me on the phone. No complaints whatsoever - very grateful for all the help. The most frustrating part was the inability to be able to remove legacy docs from the portal - these had to communicated by chat/email and then removed on my behalf. Once submitted, the support and guidance received from the Team and the Auditor was fantastic. It was made very clear what information was still required or indeed and most informatively, why it was still required.”

“Good service and generally happy except for long wait from submission to review/accreditation. I feel being asked to pay to speed this up is unfair when I have already paid for membership.”

Thank you for your review, and congratulations on your SafeContractor accreditation! Our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted is 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry. Please accept our apologies for any issues caused by the delay this year. Regarding the option to upgrade to another package the cost of this is a reflection of the extra support received which in turn will speed up certain parts of the process. “Difficult process throughout. Lot's of perfectly acceptable documents were not accepted and an lot of irrelevant information required. Expensive so have to go through the amount if rigmarole.”

“Do not agree with raising renewal invoice 8 weeks early and then applying pressure via numerous emails to pay early”

Thank you for your feedback - renewal emails are sent out to act as a reminder as opposed to applying pressure. This was post feedback from contractors on needing enough time to process the questionnaire ready for renewal. “This is year 5, you ask for payment 16 weeks before expiry, followed by notifications etc. then want another extra for something else. Once submitted 28 days for evaluation but for a payment of £100 you can evaluate quicker still waiting cert 14 days after accreditation. 30% down on revenue last 12 months, an extension of cover would have been a decent gesture..”

“We have found accreditation has taken much more time and been slower this year, than previous. We are a specialist SCADA Systems company, and find that a lot of your typical questions and examples are focused on typical construction industry clients, and can often be lacking in depth for specialist engineering trades. The significant price hike over recent years (more than tripled since we joined in 2016) does make us question the benefits moving forwards.”

“we were very disappointed with the accreditation process this year, only call actively received was to try and upsell a faster accreditation process which we declined. Then it felt like we were on a slow track and communication with the advisor was slow and had to be chased. Felt like we were being asked to create new assessments not used in the industry and felt advisor knowledge was poor”

Our team endeavour to assess all questionnaires as quickly as possible and to provide as much assistance as possible. On a standard package, we aim to review your submission within 20 working days. However if you would like to upgrade your package to have an express audit included or to include assistance from our team of expert IOSH and NEBOSH qualified auditors then this option is available to you also. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry.

“The website portal and the Technical Adviser have been very informative and helpful. Good instructions on loading our company details and documents onto the portal for assessment. I liked the idea of a pre-approval check by the Technical Adviser before the actual audit.”
