“Our Company have been involved with Safe Contractor over Ten years have all the Accreditations required for our industry, Safe Contractor Certification is what all Commercial Companies require when tendering for new works and on going contracts, and would highly recommend this organisation, they do it right, Lawrence Gregory MD Saturn security installation's Ltd”

“This application was very difficult this time. We have renewed twice before and never had this trouble. The goal posts keep changing and many of the documents were sent in several times as each time safe contractor said they were not received. This not only delayed the process but also costs us money using our Health and safety advisor. Also we were asked to send in documents that were nothing to do with the business we are in. We are yet to receive the passed documents from Safe Contractor”

As part of awarding our UK-leading accreditation annually, our team of expert auditors need to ensure that all contractors have the relevant documentation in place to comply with health and safety legislation. Our audit team try to ensure that they make any outstanding documentations very clear, however if at any point you have any queries about how these requirements apply to your business then please do not hesitate to contact your auditor directly, who will be happy to support you. To make the process easier next year, we recommend making a note of all documents approved this year and updating these throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry.

“Whereas our accreditation renewal was straightforward when it was eventually passed to an auditor, I was called at least 3 times prior with a ruse to upgrade and fast track our renewal. I think we pay more than enough for this service without the upselling.”

Our standard audit time taken from all required documents being submitted is 20 working days for a technical officer to review your h&s assessment. Our team endeavour to assess all questionnaires as quickly as possible and to provide as much assistance as possible. If you would like to upgrade your package to have an express audit included or to include assistance from our team of expert IOSH and NEBOSH qualified auditors then this option is available to you also. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry.

“Started out poorly as there seemed to be to my way of thinking, a lack of understanding that we are a two person company and some of things you requested seemed to be well over the top of what was required, however once we had a discussion the assessor Keith was really helpful and the whole process then went forward with no further issues.”
