“Unfortunately the process is always very difficult,we have been with you for many years and each year it gets harder and harder to get the accreditation through your auditing process, we have had to deal with to many different people and keep getting asked for info we already submitted? You take the money for renewal before you have completed the process and all in all for us as a very small business working for som big contracts it not very efficient. Sorry but that's my experience.”

“I must express concern regarding the introduction of the £55 charge per client connection. As a certified member, we pay annually to maintain our compliance and demonstrate our commitment to health and safety standards. Charging additionally to be "linked" to clients — regardless of whether we actively pursue work through your portal — does not appear to add any tangible value to our accreditation. Whether or not we are connected via the portal, our certification remains valid, and we regularly provide this evidence directly to clients. The notion that we may be penalised or made invisible on a client’s list — despite holding a current certification — seems more like a revenue-generating exercise than a service enhancement. While I understand your need to evolve the pricing model, the current approach feels disconnected from how many businesses use the certification. If the intent is to maintain transparency and fairness, I would encourage SafeContractor to consider a more balanced solution that doesn’t financially disadvantage companies for simply being certified and doing business as usual.”

“IKALL's experience with the SafeContractor accreditation process was very positive. The application was straightforward, and the guidance provided throughout helped us prepare the necessary documentation efficiently. We appreciated the emphasis on health and safety compliance, which aligns well with our company values. The only challenge was gathering some of the evidence for our RAMS and training records, but once organized, the review process was smooth. Achieving accreditation has strengthened our credibility with clients and opened doors to new opportunities.”

“I consider that the Alcumus SafeContractor accreditation is vital to our business. I found the process of acquiring this accreditation to have been very straightforward to follow. it was particularly helpful to know that the Alcumus team were always available to provide assistance whenever it was needed.”

“It takes too long to renew. The cost of an annual certification should not include a 20 day turn around on audits as this is then an 11 month certificate not an annual. The rumours that we will be charged per client are also unreasonable in an industry where the clients dictate their preference on the accrediting body.”

“The process is quite long as I don't pay the extra for "assisted" application. It would be good if Safecontractor stored some of the information on file and uploaded it automatically to the new application. It would save a lot of time”

“Every year the goal posts change and we are asked for information either not relevant to safety or not in the questionnaire. Emails are sent to us time and time again even though this has been sent on the first request.”
