“Only issue was that we sent off questionnaire on the very first day that we were able to submit ie, 30 Days before but we still had not been audited until after our cert had expired which made carrying on working on sites difficult as we needed a cert in date to continue with our business”

Previously, you could submit the renewal questionnaire 30 days before your expiry date. Now, we've extended that window to 60 days before expiry, giving you an additional 30 days to complete the submission. We hope this change makes a positive difference as you prepare for next year! “A reasonably easy process as we already had most of the processes and documentation in hand. Membership was dictated by one of our customers to continue working with them. We are hoping to expand our client base on the back of this accreditation.”

“Despite paying for and submitting my application before the expiry date of my existing certificate, I was somewhat taken aback at the notion the necessary checks pertaining to the submission would take 25 days to accomplish. I then received a sales call from Alcumus citing that for £135, the same process could be achieved in 48 hours! Upselling, or what? Twice during the intervening period, I was asked to provide further evidence to support the application. So I sent the same data - which was accepted. Moreover, questions 3 to 6 below refer to a "delivery". Delivery of what? To what does this refer? Last question in this review: Photo or video. What is that all about? Photo or video what?”

“Overall the process ran very smoothly and the only questionnaire to complete is well thought through and intuitive. The only minor negative experience was that our questionnaire was reviewed by two separate auditors (unclear if this is standard procedure) which meant that after addressing the queries from the first auditor, the questionnaire was resubmitted only to have several other queries raised on totally different questions/areas by the second auditor. It would be ideal if all queries were raised in the first round such that the process is most efficient.”

“It was frustrating as they allow us to submit our renewal 30 days before it expires, then take 30 days to review it so if there are any issues we have no time to amend and re-submit. The only way around this is to pay more money to expedite the review. Unfortunately this in this post covid climate this is not possible. Once it got going it was fine. The people I or my colleagues liaised with were very good and helpful and the system is very good.”

“fantastic accreditation, extremely helpful from start to finish. looking back to a 2018 HSE that was issued we feel is digging too deep as the business has moved on since then and are now in a better place.”

“It is a great relief to complete our accreditation. The resources and 1-1 support is great however there are a few issues. I realise that the system is generic however there seems so much to do for a very small family business and although we only have 4 employees, we had to complete the package for 5 and over. This may just be a wording issue as a sole trader is not technically an employee so this confused us somewhat and was more costly, which we weren't expecting. We welcomed the chance to review our practices and procedures and to show potential clients that we have met the standard required”

“The service was very fast but I was a little confused by some of the questions and the need for the PQQ but response time was excellent, thank you. It could be a bit less costly given the Safemark scheme was almost half and this was discontinued without any notification and now means a re print of my invoices & headed paper which has the logo on it!!”

“It was acceptable, the training part was difficult to submit any training requirements due to the current epidemic and most training providers for the types of training we require need to be face to face and practical”
