As my first attempt within my company to renew our accreditation, I found the first stage of working through the process portal quite easy - however, when it came to being audited, this was very frustrating as additional information was asked of and duplicated. We paid for the fast track service as our accreditation had expired at this point, yet still took another 10 working days for completion. I started our renewal on 18th May and then took until 14th June to receive the certification. long-winded process.

The process was easy to navigate and the team are very helpful and responded quickly and efficiently to any queries raised. One comment, we were told to start renewal process 1 month before it was due, which we did, but had a few queries along the way. When we did submit it, the result would have taken us past our expire date for the accreditation. So we paid the express service to get our application checked. It would be better if you were informed of the process length, to ensure all items are done in time.

Overall experience was good. The only slight issue I have had is the delay in the accreditation team coming back to you after they have requested further information/evidence on various questions. Once this information was provided we had no response and had to chase for an update.

I found the process tedious, when you provide information for initial review and the reviewer comes back to ask for the information you've already provided, and states that it's unacceptable as the company name is not in full, yet it was submitted via the portal under the clients membership number and name. This to me demonstrates box ticking and lack of ability to read and understand what has been provided. Secondly comprehensive RAMS were provided for a task, to be told they were inadequate and not detailed enough, an 8 step process for the plugging in of a telephone line is more than enough. Then we move onto the auditor who proceeds to ask for different information about something which has already been provided and discussed with the initial reviewer. From the outside, it appears that the initial reviewers do not talk or communicate or summarise any conversations with the applicant, to the auditor. Both persons were very pleasant and I'm pleased we received the accreditation, but really, the process could be much slicker

Positives - All the staff I have dealt with have been really helpful and friendly. They are quick to respond and knowledgeable. The questionnaires are well written and easy to follow, giving examples of what documents would be accepted makes the process a lot easier Negatives - Questionnaires only available 4 weeks before the end of accreditation is due for renewal which is how long it takes to be processed, leaving no room for error. I understand that this is to try to get people to pay for an express service, but it's a bit cheeky. Side note, below question "How quick did the company reply to your queries?", my answer would be 2 days but there is not an option!

Previously, you could submit the renewal questionnaire 30 days before your expiry date.
