“Renewal process was ok. We were asked for additional information, which is no problem, however, our auditor was on a course for a week so emailing was an issue. This delayed the renewal process. We had to be assigned a new auditor as a result. Not as streamlined as previous years.”

“Not very quick responses from SAFECONTRACTOR, They can take months to assess your application to try to force you to pay for premium. If you pay for premium they are a lot more helpful & very easy.”

Thank you for your review, and congratulations on your SafeContractor accreditation. We're sorry to learn that you were dissatisfied with the time frame it took to achieve accreditation on this occasion. Our SLA for a standard package, once all documents have been received, is 20 working days. To make the process easier next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal so that when the questionnaire is released 30 days before expiry you can re-submit your up to date documents quickly. “The process is fairly straightforward and even though the timescale for completion was supposed to be 10 working days for basic members, the audit was completed well within that time. The only thing I think could be improved is that accreditations held through other organisations and ISO standards held should exempt you from many of the questions. I understand that this is difficult as you need ensure compliance. It's also apparent that this is an industry wide issue, rather than a problem unique to SAFEContractor.”
