“We found the process very straight forward and easy to follow. As long as your organisation has the correct information to hand you should be able to complete the process in reasonable amount of time. The advisers I dealt with were helpful and polite.”

“I did email a couple of times looking for assistance, no response. This was the first safe contractor audit I have completed and was looking for some guidance. The finished accreditation doesn't look pretty as some information I should have deleted is still evident. I notified Safe contractor of our change of name before I started the accreditation, however the certificate has been sent with the old name. I sent an email requesting that the name is changed on the certificate, I received a response suggesting I'd hear something within 48 hours, 5 days later I have to call to see where we are.”

“Encountered a fairly long waiting time for the assessment to be looked at in the first instance. Once however it reached the first review stage things moved very quickly and the assistance received from the dedicated assessor was incredibly helpful and made the process far easier to final accreditation.”

To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire is able to be submitted 30 days before expiry. “we paid for a fast track service expecting a response within 48 hors, but did not appreciate the 48 hors started from the first review”

“Much better than last year, but still frustrating being unable to upload new information that has been provided prior to old information expiring e.g. Insurances - therefore reducing level to Silver for a number of days until the expiry date has been reached and upload can then take place - which then results in another wait for the verification.”
