“Time taken to receive accreditation following submission on the standard scheme is too long. For a design consultant the H&S information requested should be more specific to the nature of the work undertaken. Most consultants have office based staff, rather than a site workforce.”

Our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted is 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry. “Great service and really good support from the team throughout the process with clear and useful information sheets to help support the process. The people who I spoke to throughout where all really helpful. My only concern is that, after achieving, I have not had any logos to use on our website and other literature which we could really do with soon. (I feel that they should arrive sooner). Thank you all so much for your help”

“My only concern with the process was that i submitted information as requested and then had to supply additional information ready for the next audit stage where i was asked the same questions again and then i had to provide additional documents that were not requested originally.”

Thank you for your review, and congratulations on your SafeContractor accreditation. Our audit process consists of an initial check by a Technical Support Officer and final sign off by and Auditor. On occasion, you may be asked to supply additional information by the Auditor to ensure that you have provided all relevant documentation in place to comply with health and safety legislation. “The experience with Safe contractor was relatively stress free. The Safe contractor's advisers were very helpful and knowledgeable about the accreditation process and it made the whole process quick and easy.”

“The online application is not designed for small companies so some of the questions could have more options. Otherwise a good comprehensive system.”
