Staff were helpful when we spoke to them but could be slow at responding to telephone contacts if they were unavailable

Service was slow, and difficult to get hold of anyone to push our submission through. Telephone line was not working (due to staff training the message said) when trying to chase. That said the staff on the helpline number were curteous and helpful when i did get through although unable to directly do anything they had to refer it on to others.

Over priced & under checked. I was forced into this process by a client. If, in the hugely unlikely event, I get more work as claimed by SafeContractor I will happily review my review

Take too long to commence and send questionnaire. And always pushing for express accreditation fee to be paid to expedite. Service should be quicker without necessity to pay a fee to expedite, thus only acceptable score.

The accreditation process always takes much longer than it should and we have a long period without being accredited that can cause issues with clients. I submitted everything for review once I was allowed to but didn't get the certificate back until almost two weeks after I expected it. The staff are always incredible friendly and helpful and answer the phone quickly but I think there is just a back log with auditors. I know you can pay for a faster audit process but everything was submitted in time so I shouldn't have to pay for this service.

Hi CSM Sports and Entertainment Holdings Limited t/a CSM Live, Thank you for your feedback. We truly value the insights we receive from our customers, and in response to your feedback, we've made an improvement. Previously, you could submit the renewal questionnaire 30 days before your expiry date. Now, we've extended that window to 60 days before expiry, giving you an additional 30 days to complete the submission. We hope this change makes a positive difference as you prepare for next year! Best regards, SafeContractor

One of the worst experiences i've had renewing our membership with SafeContractor based purely on the time it took to get audited and reaccredited. It takes far too long to get your account audited, unless you agree to pay several hundred pounds more on top of the thousands we already pay to get it checked quicker, which I highly disagree with. We were asked for a few bits of further information our file was finally checked, and on submittal was told we would have a response within 5 working days. 2 1/2 working weeks later we still hadn't received a response, and i had to chase up the pre-auditor for answers. Unless you pay the additional fee to get your file checked within 10 working days (instead of the standard 20) it is impossible to get your Safe Contractor certificate renewed before your current certificate expires.

Process always seems to come down to the wire with timings, meaning that we cannot plan onsite works at companies that require safe contractor. This time it took multiple chases form us and companies that were looking to use our services to seem to get any movement on it. Only being able to submit 30 calendar days ahead of our renewal coupled with up to 20 working days for first review, then up to a further 5 working days for the auditor to review means that there is a large chance that the renewal process won’t be complete before current Safecontractor runs out. This is compounded with the time of year for our renewal, as safe contractor staff’s working days are unknown around Christmas and new years. It seems that there are not enough working days for even the first 20 working days pre audit to be completed before our accreditation runs out. Whilst this sounds like a lot of moaning about the situation the situation could easily be avoided by either having a quicker (standard) turn around time than 20 days on review of info submitted or by allowing companies to submit applications earlier than 30 calendar days ahead of renewal.

Our accrediation expired on the 14th December 2023. Although we had provided all the required paperwork and completed the online form by the middle of November 2023, it wasn't looked at until after the 14th Dec 2023. This resulted in a gap in our accredication which subsiquently affects some of our contracts. It would be much more benefical to us not to have a gap in our membership. Is there a way this could be set up? Any information you could provide would be appreicated.

Overall the SafeContractor process goes pretty smoothly. Suggestions for considerations: - Assessor consistency. Records requested this year were different from previous years. I understand this will happen. However, when it does and we request follow up (see second point) info, it would be good to have a better dialogue with assessor - Response times could be better. I had to follow up with the assessor after one week of submitting evidence and requesting follow up. - Out of office not shown for assessor when on holiday.

The process was quite good, easy to follow portal, with each section split and ability to upload documents easily. Having the account manager's communication to help was the most important part that made things much better to work to and be able to ask questions (with very good responses and very timely).

Every year we find the process relentless. We provide all the documents as specified only to be asked for additional documentation weeks later, or to be asked for documents which has already been supplied. The rate goes up year on year, but I do not see any benefit at this stage with Safecontractor. Please also look at the questions you ask below. It is for a courier services? Completely noy relevant to Safecontractor or are you a courier service as well?
