“30 days prior to renewal doesn't seem long enough. This puts alot of pressure on the business to submit evidence within 10 days as it take at least 20 days for SafeContractor to audit your inputs. Unless you pay more of course - which doesn't seem fair. Technical support is always willing to assist and support.”

“As part of our renewal process, we we contacted by the SC team and guided through the procedure. All revised documents were uploaded and submitted for assessment. The service was quick and we received confirmation of our successful application/renewal. Once our new certificate was received, we were able to forward to our clients and other SSIP's to update their records.”

“In light of the lengthy review / feedback timelines seen, this year and last, the process could benefit from release of assessment questionnaire sooner. 20 working days is noted as the maximum timeline for feedback to be provided. This year we called them on working day 20 as nothing heard. This means that if any further input is required (as has been the case), we have NO opportunity to obtain new Cert on our renewal date, causing difficulties.”

“Safe contractor have improved their auditing system over the years however their "One size fits all" approach means they often ask questions not valid to certain companies. They gave added notes to their system to try to improve this, but it would appear that these notes are often not read so we have to explain our situation each time. Once we explain it the auditor usually says they can see we have explained that the year before and they have a note on the system. I have had to repeat this exercise every year for the last three years, which is a very frustrating waste of everyone's time.”

“The process is easy to navigate and all staff that answer the phone are polite and helpful. The only frustrating part is although all requested documentation was sumitted within 24hrs of request, the auditing process took so long that our accreditation lapsed. This then caused us issues as we use SafeContractor as deem to satisfy for other accreditations and this caused them to be delayed and lapse as well”

“We paid extra to have our application analysed within few days and yet we had our application results only after a couple of weeks which left us "with no certification" for a few days until we received the confirmation. With that said everyone has been very helpful every time I contacted to enquire about the application.”
