Thank you for your feedback! Pleased that our team were able to support you through to successfully achieving accreditation. Our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted is 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal so that when the questionnaire is released 30 days before expiry you can re-submit your up to date documents quickly. Please accept our apologies for any issues caused by the delay this year. If you have any further queries about how this works then please don't hesitate to get in touch with our team directly.

I have been completing this exercise for more then twelve years - despite being told over the years that you have more assessors, better streamlined systems, fast tracking etc, etc, the actual process takes far too long. Information passed to your administrators, e.g. "I only work on Wednesday", is ignored (received several emails and a phone call outside the given parameters.. Now we input to an administrator who sifts the evidence provided and after a time, contacts us to tell us what additional input is required (the same as before but by an "Administrator", rather than the assessor. If you have not chosen "fast Track", then I now expect the process to take up to 4 months. Not really what I would call reasonable timescales.

Thank you for your review, and congratulations on your SafeContractor accreditation. Our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted it 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. Our team endeavour to assess all questionnaires as quickly as possible and to provide as much assistance as possible. However if you would like to upgrade your package to have an express audit included or to include assistance from our team of expert IOSH and NEBOSH qualified auditors then this option is available to you also. Too much emphasis on upgrade packages as opposed to carting out the actual audit.

Found it difficult to discuss issues with getting approval when evidence not accepted by yourselves

Thank you for your feedback and congratulations on your accreditation. As part of awarding our UK-leading accreditation annually, our team of expert auditors need to ensure that all contractors have the relevant documentation in place to comply with health and safety legislation, and this does involve re-submission of documentation each time accreditation is awarded, and ensuring that all evidence provided adheres to these standards. To make the process easier next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal so that when the questionnaire is released 30 days before expiry you can re-submit your up to date documents quickly. Over bureaucratic - they react to each submission as if it were the first time you had applied, and ask for the same confirmations year after year, instead of looking at your previous year's submission and asking if anything has changed. If you don't want to pay a premium, they will queue your application for a month before they start to ask the stupid questions and then delay it by a further week or two. I'll look at switching next year.

Very time consuming. The fact there is no allowance for the time it takes to become acrediated is very poor

Significantly delayed, while I appreciate it may not have been the fault of Safecontractor we had to await the renewal of our CHAS accreditation in order to finalise the safe contractor process, this was apparently due to not appearing on the SSIP portal. We had provided certification of CHAS and they had confirmed we were accredited but due to bye laws we had to await our update on the system. I can only assume this was the fault of CHAS as they offered a years free registration, but nethertheless the resultant delay meant our client had to chase us for three months for an update on the process.

Thank you for leaving us a review and congratulations on your accreditation. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this issue caused you. Unfortunately, in the case of Deem To Satisfy audits we do require a valid membership to your other provider (in this case CHAS) to be visible on the SSIP portal. To avoid this causing an issue for your other clients who require a full SafeContractor accreditation in the future, you could consider using your full SafeContractor accreditation to FastTrack to other SSIP schemes with up to 77% discount. Please reference the SSIP Deem To Satisfy chart (https://ssip.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Deem-to-Satisfy-Chart-15.08.19.pdf) to see the time and money savings you could get from being SafeContractor accredited.

It’s more set up for large companies who have departments to deal with filling this out. Not a three person company that never work in construction of any type and never go on to construction sites

Thanks for giving us your feedback and congratulations on your accreditation. We're sorry to learn that you found the process difficult to complete - please do let us know at renewal if you require any further assistance and our team would be happy to discuss our packages and support options with you to ensure that we are able to support you as much as you need through the process. Renewal process was ok. We were asked for additional information, which is no problem, however, our auditor was on a course for a week so emailing was an issue. This delayed the renewal process. We had to be assigned a new auditor as a result. Not as streamlined as previous years.

Not very quick responses from SAFECONTRACTOR, They can take months to assess your application to try to force you to pay for premium. If you pay for premium they are a lot more helpful & very easy.

This year the requests seemed to require our documents to be based on some of your templates rather than us using our own layouts to provide the same information. Our documents have been prepared in association with our main clients so they have a consistent format.

Thank you for your feedback, and congratulations on your SafeContractor accreditation! Our audit team verify that all contractors who submit documents to us have the relevant documentation in place to comply with health and safety legislation. I have passed your feedback onto our audit team leader for review, who will ensure that our auditors are reviewing all documents to ensure that they not only follow our uniform, but that they adhere to health and safety legislative requirements.

Hi all good the only thing I would say is you should really give us the chance to login and upload details in time to achieve the certificate before the due date, this time you gave us a week knowing it takes 3 weeks to be audited, I understand you offer a fast track service to obtain faster which you are almost forcing us to do so you can achieve more money. On the plus side your service is good and all telephone conversations with your personnel is very good. Also your upload system is much better as I have struggled in the past to upload.
