There was confusion with what was required and when asking me for that information the person could have made it much quicker by being specific about what was required as I clearly did not understand. She asked for the same thing over and over using the same terminology, rather than using different words to explain what she needed. If i didn't understand the term the first time, saying it 5 more times wasn't going to help... Don't get stuck in using language/acronyms that is internal to your organisation or to that of experienced H&S professionals when talking to all customers as we are all different levels of knowledge and experience.

Thank you for your review, and congratulations on your SafeContractor accreditation. Our audit team try to ensure that they make any outstanding documentations very clear, however if at any point you have any queries about how these requirements apply to your business then please do not hesitate to contact your auditor directly, who will be happy to support you. The standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted is 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. Our team endeavour to assess all questionnaires as quickly as possible and to provide as much assistance as possible. However if you would like to upgrade your package to have an express audit included or to include assistance from our team of expert IOSH and NEBOSH qualified auditors then this option is available to you also. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry. If you have any further queries about how this works then please don't hesitate to get in touch with our team directly.

This year was a difficult process from your side - I did not receive my phone call after paying, which pushed my timings out. This lead to my renewal date being a week late, cost me loss in work. Also some of my work categories have been changed as I could not achieve them this year, even thought I have passed them for the last 4 years?

Congratulations on achieving accreditation and thank you for your feedback. I have passed this on to our Audit Team Leader who has advised that unfortunately there was a delay with our team addressing your audit due to a large number of audits in our queue - please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused by this. Our Team Leader has confirmed that work activities were changed in the interest of ensuring your audit was passed based on the information you had provided. Please contact our team directly on 0333 363 6233 to discuss this further.

I was told the PQQ questionnaire was free, it isn't. Too long for information sent to be verified and then auditors asking for Covid 19 information even though it wasn't on the portal and having to wait even longer for accreditation.

Thank you for your feedback and congratulations on achieving your accreditation. I've looked at your customer notes and can see that one of the clients you work for has mandated that all contractors they work with must be SafePQQ verified to continue working with them. Please continue to liaise with our team directly regarding whether you would like to proceed with the SafePQQ product as mandated by the client or be refunded, and so accept our sincerest apologies for any confusion caused by this. Given the current pandemic, our team are asking that all contractors can supply additional information regarding their COVID-19 secure working practices. Please let us know if you require any additional support with producing this or ensuring your workplace is COVID-19 secure and we will be happy to help!

I believe that the SafeContractor brand adds value to our business, but I think that your additional H&S questions while Passporting SSIP across from another organisation is unnecessary and not in the true spirit of the SSIP.

Thank you for the review and congratulations on your accreditation! We're so pleased that being SafeContractor accredited is making a positive difference to your business. Please note that our SSIP passport questionnaire is significantly shorter than our full questionnaire. We ask additional questions to further verify the work activities undertaken by your business and promoting this ti our client base, which is why many organisations work with us to manage their supply chains and source contractors.

Time was wasted at the early stage as there was not a practical appreciation of our type of work. The assessor was OK once it was passed on.

the most annoying this is that you pay the renewal weeks / months in advance and then when you can submit the application you have to wait the full 20 days ( without parting with yet more money ) for it to be audited, it allows very little time to do this before the certificate expires. mine was audited on exactly the 20th working day. it would assist greatly if you opened the audit when you paid the renewal giving plenty of time. it appears to be an additional money maker by charging extra for a fast track service when this could easily be avoided.

Thank you for your review, and congratulations on your SafeContractor accreditation. Your payment renewal date does not necessarily align with your accreditation date as your accreditation renewal may change each year depending on how quickly your business completes the audit. Please be advised that our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted it 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. However, you can make the process faster next year by updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry. Normally the guys are very quick at processing the submissions. This time they were incredibly slow. It seemed a coincidence that I had been offered a rapid processing service at an extra cost of £150, which I turned down. Following that the maximum time was taken. They responded in such a time that my H&S advisor was furloughed and we had to find someone else to send documents in.

We have quite a struggle to renew our Safecontractor each year. I passed this over to a colleague of mine this year due to a busy workload. It has taken quite a while because of this. Although we have reached the pass stage and received our certificate, this only states Access Control on the reverse of the certificate and should include Intruder Alarms and CCTV also.

Really slow response. The person sending email questions did not read completed questionnaire, hence delaying accreditation. Attention to detail very poor

Thank you for your review, and congratulations on your SafeContractor accreditation. As part of awarding our UK-leading accreditation annually, our team of expert auditors need to ensure that all contractors have the relevant documentation in place to comply with health and safety legislation, and this does involve submitting documentation within specific formats and templates and subsequent re-submission of documentation each time accreditation is awarded, to ensure that all evidence provided adheres to these standards. The review process did take a very long time. Once submitted Safecontractor are meant to contact you within 20 working days. I was contacted on the 20th day and my submission hadn't even been looked at. However, it was looked at that day and we achieved our accreditation again. I appreciate times are hard and maybe not as many staff working but it isn't the first time it has taken a long time. It was a good job I submitted it a month before it expired as I don't think it would've been done.

Since you have set up the new payment scheme where you need to pay for a faster response time we feel that we are not getting the same service. Our submissions were followed by an email which stated that you would reply in 2 days- yet when I followed up on this- my follow up email was met with an email from you stating we are not subscribed to the quick response package of support therefore the response would take two weeks or so. This area needs looking at as it does not provide a fair customer feedback system.

The process and portal was very easy to navigate and understand. My criticism comes from the repeated request from several different members of your staff to pay for 'fast track' of my audit. I fully understand the requirement to generate income but this became a bit embarrassing and felt like pressure selling, which i would only expect from cold callers or window sales people!

Rachel Jones the safety auditor was really helpful and very efficient. She assisted as soon as we contacted her and provided everything required - can't praise her enough for helping us out. The rest of the Safe Contractor system unfortunately is not the same. Slow to respond, poor communication and the web login never accepts our login first time. Very frustrating to deal with in comparison to similar accreditation bodies to be honest.

Accreditation would be easier if a complete questionnaire covering all aspects were to become available. My experience this time, found that I needed to complete a PQQ mainly about VAT registration and other document based questions. Having submitted the PQQ, another set of questions was received which caused delay. As my the company was getting anxious to achieve accreditation, it was necessary to 'phone twice before the certificate was emailed over. Could as suggested, a full questionnaire be sent out, not to be completed on-line but sent back to you via the postal service complete with all associated documentation.

Thank you for your feedback and congratulations on your accreditation! As SafeContractor and SafePQQ are separate products covering different topics, they are currently released via two questionnaires. Please accept our apologies for any issues caused by this. We will pass your feedback onto our portal team, who are already looking into streamlining this process.

The software limits what you can add or remove as relevant to your company activities. As we are not a contracting company many of our activities are limited and some of the questions do not allow for this.n I was happy with the customer service and help from the adviser.
