“For a SME this system is too complicated and I think is aimed at larger business's.We need this accreditation because our clients stipulate this. Please make the questions more focused on SME's,we don't all have large HR departments etc to wade though pages of questions”

As part of awarding our UK-leading accreditation annually, our team of expert auditors need to ensure that all contractors have the relevant documentation in place to comply with health and safety legislation. Our team endeavour to assess all questionnaires as quickly as possible and to provide as much assistance as they can. However, if you would like to upgrade your package to have an express audit included or to include assistance from our team of expert IOSH and NEBOSH qualified auditors then this option is available to you also. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry. To answer your question, both providers offer health & safety accreditation to ensure your working practices are compliant with legislation, in accordance with SSIP. SafeContractor goes beyond the 14-point core SSIP criteria to ask risk-based questions tailored to your business profile, meaning that we audit you for the work activities you complete and build an accurate, risk-based profile for clients to review when seeking to award work on our client portal. SafeContractor work with over 470 leading UK client organisations to ensure compliance within their supply chains, meaning that you can win more work and enhance your reputation. If you are being asked to complete both accreditations, then we recommend you look into the additional SSIP scheme discounts of up to 77%. You can gain a full SafeContractor accreditation to FastTrack to other SSIP schemes with up to a 77% discount.
