“We joined SafeContractor as we needed to gain accreditation quickly to enable us to become a preferred supplier for a contract we particularly wanted to win. We paid for the fast track Premier level of support. With the assistance of the Alcumus support and audit teams, we achieved our accreditation in 15 working days. The team were proactive and helpful, giving us detailed and relevant guidance where we had questions about the requirements, or had initially submitted documentation which did not fully meet the requirements for a particular section of the audit. When the consultant initially allocated to us became unavailable, we were quickly allocated another consultant when I flagged up that we had received no response to an email sending additional information. Overall an excellent service.”

“From start to finish everything was easy, with very approachable auditors when questions were asked. Is it worth having SafeContractor well in my view I have saved time filling out endless forms for principle contractors and having prove we are not a cowboy outfit because of the specialised industry we work in, although i would recommend the SafePQQ as well then you have less questions to answer as well as having the confidence to say were compliant.”

“My experience with SafeContractor was really good, all the forms you had to fill in were well explained and was easy to upload all the info required. With the package I had a I received regular updates on what I still needed to send and help with the documents that wasn’t quite rite. Thank you”

Our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted is 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. Our team endeavour to assess all questionnaires as quickly as possible and to provide as much assistance as possible. However if you would like to upgrade your package to have an express audit included or to include assistance from our team of expert IOSH and NEBOSH qualified auditors then this option is available to you also. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry.

“The assessment is way too stringent. It is going way beyond working safely. Maybe it could be renamed "ModelContractor" or "IdealisticContractor" ? (but this 2nd one is a bit long for a logo). Also there should be a better marketing effort to standardise the use of SafeContractor. At the moment our customers require us to get other standards similar to SC so we have to duplicate our time and efforts.”

If you find you are asked to have membership of multiple SSIP accreditations, then we recommend that you gain a full SafeContractor accreditation to FastTrack to other SSIP schemes with up to a 77% discount. I can see that a Technical Support Officer requested more information from you on October 19th, and that once this was provided your audit was passed within 10 days. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating all of your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry.
