“The help I received from all staff was perfect and talked me through the process in easy to understand terms, the staff are very good. My only issue is the high cost almost £600.00 for a very small business with 2 staff and 1 labour only contractor (when needed) carrying out low risk work in low risk environments. I really think you should take this into consideration and charge a low cost set at £150.00 for the service.”

“We are now entering our fourth year within the ‘SafeContractor’ Health and Safety scheme offered by Alcumus. We look at reaccreditation as another way of providing an opportunity for enhancement and improvement as well as demonstrating to our customers how dedicated we are regarding systems, processes and the management of Health and Safety. We found the process to be straightforward once you have selected which level of support suits you and your company the best. You have your own dedicated team provided by SafeContractor and there is a strong support infrastructure of trained staff working at extremely high levels of expertise to help you every step of the way. Following our re-accreditation, we will be sharing this achievement on all the media platforms we have interest in. Our company website is currently undergoing a major rebuild and this too will reflect the SafeContractor accreditation with links to ‘Alcumus SafeContractor and SafePQQ’.”

“We've had a very positive experience with the SafeContractor accreditation process. Following the lockdown our SafeContractor accreditation had expired and we were lucky enough to have a fantastic auditor to help guide us through the renewal process. We were guided through the online forms and then any areas where additional information was required we forwarded via email.”

“For 2021, please can you remind us much earlier that we need to get everything ready for our Safecontractor accreditation to be reviewed (i.e. at least a month beforehand). When we received the reminder this year, as we are only a standard package, it then took 4 weeks for us to be reviewed and went past the 18th October 2020 expiry date. We didn't want to be upgraded at an additional cost, however, if we receive a reminder earlier then we will be able to get everything ready in time. Thank you.”

Thank you for your review, and congratulations on your SafeContractor accreditation. Our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted is 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. We recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry. We send a reminder to all contractor's inboxes 60 days before their accreditation expiry so keep an eye on your inbox for this. “All good but due to COVID-19 I felt staffing levels at Alcumus were not sufficient enough. A charge was placed to the customer if they wanted there application to be fast tracked. Never experienced this before.”

Thank you for the review and congratulations on your accreditation! Our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted is 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. Our team endeavour to assess all questionnaires as quickly as possible and to provide as much assistance as possible. However, if you would like to upgrade your package to have an express audit included or to include assistance from our team of expert IOSH and NEBOSH qualified auditors then this option is available to you also.
