“You are usually very good but this time took for ever even though I had already uploaded my new insurance it delayed the process.”

Our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted is 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. Our team endeavour to assess all questionnaires as quickly as possible and to provide as much assistance as possible. However if you would like to upgrade your package to have an express audit included or to include assistance from our team of expert IOSH and NEBOSH qualified auditors then this option is available to you also. “I found the process & responses from SC very slow. It was a full 4 weeks after applying that somebody came back to me. Then another week & a bit before the auditor responded...all in all it took 5-6 weeks from submission. I am aware that there is an option at extra cost to 'speed' the process up.....that feels to me like paying extra for the service I would expect as the norm.”

“As a very small company - only 2 of us - no employees we battled in the beginning re time, understanding what was required, terminology & it took a long time for us to finish the process after asking a family member for assistance as they are in the construction industry. Once we submitted all that was required it was so good to receive our accreditation and oddly enough, the morning we received our accreditation we received an order from a company who we never realised was also Safe Contractor accredited and being accredited meant we did not have to supply tons of paperwork to be able to register at the site where project was to be done - that was awesome and has made our being able to quote/register for projects so much easier and faster. Thank you for your patience - we are proud to display our accreditation and will recommend this to others in the trades we work alongside.”

“We had a lot of internal changes going on at the time when our Safe Contractor was due to be renewed, however, we received invaluable support and help from the people assigned to help us with our application.”

I have checked your account notes and can see that our technical team required additional information from you before your questionnaire could be considered completed, which was requested on February 17th. Please note that we are only able to complete the audit and award accreditation once all information has been submitted. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal so that when the questionnaire is released 30 days before expiry you can re-submit your up to date documents quickly. “Unclear instruction on what needs completing. Very slow turnaround times and a 2 tiered customer support service. Our company gives the same level of service to it's clients, despite their spend level. Not sure why Alcumus/Safecontractor can't do the same!”

“takes a time to complete all thats asked for , as it was the first time i had done it for a company , but onec in place will gte easier . the staff i spoke with were easy to speak to and helpful with all matters that i presented them with so thanks”

“The completing of the forms is self-explanatory but if there are any queries on the information needed, there is someone at the end of the phone to help resolve them. Uploading of documents is also very easy and straight forward.”
