“We sent in our inspection information as required, this was rather slow going forward. We was then asked for additional information from Sally, this was sent in, I chased this by email on 2 occasions (no reply) In desperation I then called and was told will be attended to the next day (it wasn’t). Additional email request sent (no reply), we was then suspended from working with 2 clients. I then called again and managed to speak to a young lady who’s then asked me to send information to her and she would pass it on to the auditors. We was then asked for additional information and at this point the chap in got things moving promptly and indeed had it all tied up within 24 hours (thank you). This has caused us a great deal of distress and is far from good enough. I would like again to thank the auditor that handled me renewal at the end.”

Thank you for your feedback - we're pleased that you found the process straight-forward. Congratulations on your accreditation! Our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted it 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal so that when the questionnaire is released 30 days before expiry you can re-submit your up to date documents quickly. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused by the delay on this occasion. “Process is clumsy. I was asked to supply office risk assessments then asked to supply site risk assessments on top. It would have been far easier to have been provided with a clear list and a clear explanation as to what was required. I had to keep submitting documents to see if they were acceptable. Took up a lot of my time.”

As part of awarding our UK-leading accreditation, our team of expert auditors need to ensure that all contractors have the relevant documentation in place to comply with health and safety legislation, and this does involve submitting documentation within specific formats and templates and subsequent re-submission of documentation each time accreditation is awarded, to ensure that all evidence provided adheres to these standards. To make the process easier next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal so that when the questionnaire is released 30 days before expiry you can re-submit your up to date documents quickly. “The SafeContractor accreditation process has improved enormously over the years. The accreditation process has become 'slicker' improved by the operation of the online process. It is encouraging that the company is finding ways to make the process less onerous.”

“The website was easy to use and the advisers were on hand to ask questions via chat which was helpful. I thought the time it took to verify us was rather long - over 4 weeks, but when we eventually got the feedback of what else we needed to the adviser was helpful and informative.”

“the whole process was very easy to go through . All of the staff were very helpful. they advised us on several ways to make things better for ourselves and the express process was great value for money. not like Constructionline / Acclaim who were a right pain to deal with”
