“My only concern with the process was that i submitted information as requested and then had to supply additional information ready for the next audit stage where i was asked the same questions again and then i had to provide additional documents that were not requested originally.”

Thank you for your review, and congratulations on your SafeContractor accreditation. Our audit process consists of an initial check by a Technical Support Officer and final sign off by and Auditor. On occasion, you may be asked to supply additional information by the Auditor to ensure that you have provided all relevant documentation in place to comply with health and safety legislation. To make the process easier next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry. “We have been Safecontractor accredited for several years now and this accreditation process has been the most personable and efficient. I don't know if this is coincidental or if it is due to changes in Alcumus' procedures during the current pandemic but I have found the service to be far superior than in previous years. The speed of response, the willingness to support and the same point of contact have made the process less arduous and bordering on pleasant.”

“The renewal process was actually very good but I can't give a good rating because you sent me an incorrectly dated certificate which has caused a lot of problems for us.”

Thanks for leaving us a review and thank you for your feedback. I've picked this up with our Auditor Team Leader who has confirmed that as your accreditation was turned around quickly and renewed prior to your previous certificate expiry date, the certificate date was left as your original renewal date to ensure that you had 12 months of accreditation coverage. Please accept our apologies for an inconvenience that this may have caused you, and do not hesitate to contact us directly with any queries.

“SafeContractor wasn't something that I had thought about for our company until a client insisted that we became accredited before working for them. The whole process was fairly easy and it took a little longer than I thought. However now we have achieved accreditation I feel we have become a more qualified and safer company and it was definitely worth it.”

“I believe that the SafeContractor brand adds value to our business, but I think that your additional H&S questions while Passporting SSIP across from another organisation is unnecessary and not in the true spirit of the SSIP.”

Please note that our SSIP passport questionnaire is significantly shorter than our full questionnaire. We ask additional questions to further verify the work activities undertaken by your business and promoting this ti our client base, which is why many organisations work with us to manage their supply chains and source contractors.

Our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted is 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. It is important that each year your documents are reviewed to ensure that your company policies are compliant with legislation.
