“Would love to get approval at the first attempt, for some reason this appears impossible !”

On occasion, you may be asked to supply additional information by the Auditor to ensure that you have provided all relevant documentation in place to comply with health and safety legislation. “The process was fairly simple although I questioned why they require certain information such as proof of purchase of hire equipment when that’s is already covered in RAMS and IPAF certification Rather just just go off a script they need to look at everything”

“Took longer than I would have liked but that was mostly our fault for not being as prepared as we would have liked but we got there in the end. Staff were friendly and very helpful.”

To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry.

“The process takes far too long and Safecontractor try to milk the situation by offering to accelerate the process for a payment. I therefore point all of my contacts as ceda Chairman towards Altius.”

Our team endeavour to assess all questionnaires as quickly as possible and to provide as much assistance as possible. However if you would like to upgrade your package to have an express audit included or to include assistance from our team of expert IOSH and NEBOSH qualified auditors then this option is available to you also. “I have given a rating of good and not very good because of timings. Once I called, staff where fantastic and pro-active. My negative comments are surrounding the "fast track" option. I had completed the application and provided the information for audit at the soonest possible time (28 day prior) and it was obvious this hadn't been looked at until I called 2 days before our certificate run out date. I understand the concept of "fast track" services however this shouldn't be replaced with "being left until last unless you pay us extra service" when I have provided the information well in advance. That being said, I have always thought highly of the staff I have dealt with at SafeContractor and we will continue to use this service for our SSiP accreditation. I had a copy certificate emailed to me on the day but we are still waiting on the certificate by post now over a week later.”

“For 2021, please can you remind us much earlier that we need to get everything ready for our Safecontractor accreditation to be reviewed (i.e. at least a month beforehand). When we received the reminder this year, as we are only a standard package, it then took 4 weeks for us to be reviewed and went past the 18th October 2020 expiry date. We didn't want to be upgraded at an additional cost, however, if we receive a reminder earlier then we will be able to get everything ready in time. Thank you.”

“All good but due to COVID-19 I felt staffing levels at Alcumus were not sufficient enough. A charge was placed to the customer if they wanted there application to be fast tracked. Never experienced this before.”
