“Not happy about having to pay upfront and then have to wait 3 months for accreditation.”

Thank you for your review, and congratulations on your SafeContractor accreditation. Our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted is 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. I have checked your account notes and can see that our technical team required additional information from you before your questionnaire could be considered completed, which was requested on February 17th. Please note that we are only able to complete the audit and award accreditation once all information has been submitted. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal so that when the questionnaire is released 30 days before expiry you can re-submit your up to date documents quickly. “Unclear instruction on what needs completing. Very slow turnaround times and a 2 tiered customer support service. Our company gives the same level of service to it's clients, despite their spend level. Not sure why Alcumus/Safecontractor can't do the same!”

As part of awarding our UK-leading accreditation annually, our team of expert auditors need to ensure that all contractors have the relevant documentation in place to comply with health and safety legislation. This does involve submitting documentation within specific formats and templates and subsequent re-submission of documentation each time accreditation is awarded, to ensure that all evidence provided adheres to these standards. If you require any guidance on what needs to be submitted, then our audit team are only a phone call away and happy to provide you with guidance notes and advice. However if you would like to upgrade your package to include dedicated assistance from our team of expert IOSH and NEBOSH qualified auditors then this option is available to you also. “takes a time to complete all thats asked for , as it was the first time i had done it for a company , but onec in place will gte easier . the staff i spoke with were easy to speak to and helpful with all matters that i presented them with so thanks”

“The completing of the forms is self-explanatory but if there are any queries on the information needed, there is someone at the end of the phone to help resolve them. Uploading of documents is also very easy and straight forward.”

“The audit process was a little slow. Our certificate had expired at least a week before we had our new accreditation checked even though we submitted as soon as we could.”

“The vetting process now takes far too long. I was told there was a 20 day wait for administration but after 23 days I had to chase my representative even though I had submitted my questionnaire in perfectly good time. They blamed the Christmas break even though it was February? My accreditation ran out one week before I received my new accreditation which ironically is to provide services to a client who uses your services for their company too. And they were also not happy with your delay in processing seeing as we pay for our membership. Needs work and less tea breaks in my honest opinion.”

“We find the whole accreditation process very demanding to put it plainly. We as a company have chosen to become members of SafeContractor - this is our choice - but when it comes to the Accreditation process it seems to be as if we are scrutinised to the nth degree with no help or compromise from SafeContractor! I appreciate that you have a job to do but to complete the process of Accreditation should not take over 3 weeks to complete nor take away priority from on site Health & Safety control. The whole process is stressful to say the least & unfortunately you are made to feel as if you are being tested as a beginner each year by the Accreditors whose responses are terse & not easy to understand & we are paying for this privilege!! Apologies for these negative comments but this is how we find the Accreditation process as a whole - it is not a joy!”
