“The final auditor was amazing Damien. Very helpful but the initial review team were not great it’s taken months to get my accreditation updated and there’s been big lapses in time with poor explanations or none as to why until it was taken over by Damien. My payment dates are now even further out of sync with my accreditation date meaning I’ve paid for months where I wasn’t accredited as it lapsed and safe contractor refuse to harmonise the dates of accreditation and payment. So when my next payment is due for 2022 which will be in sept of this year I will actually already be accredited until may 2022 off the back of sept 2020 payment but they will want the annual payment again in sept months ahead of when actual accreditation runs out which is just daft and not supportive to business at all given the year everyone has had”

“There is a lot of information to collate and submit but it does allow companies to reflect on best practice to ensure the services provided are of the highest standard. Whilst completing the questionnaire can be challenging in some respects, support is always available from the staff at SafeContractor. Being accredited is a great accolade for any company.”

“Those dealing with our renewal contacted us and gave us their contact details, queries were dealt with quickly by the named staff and we were kept informed of the process as it was happening. The whole process was so much easier and less stressful than some other accreditation bodies. Safecontractor worked with us and for us which is not always the perceived objective of other accreditation bodies.”

“Timescales not met, email to customer service regarding why ignored! Eventually I had to ring and complain before my application was looked at. Assessor didn’t listen and requested information from me that I had already given which potentially could of held up my application further. Really poor service.”

“We had updated our yearly review and was informed that unless we paid £150.00 our file would not be look at for 20 days and in that time we would expire and not be accredited. I felt this was blackmail so chose not to accept and wait for the 20 days. The 20 days came and went so I, contacted Safe Contractor and the lady said yep I can see it all I will now pass it on !!!!!! I thought it would have been reviewed within the 20 days. I then had to wait another week for someone to come back to me asking for 4 items of evidence which I provided and then I got my accreditation. Not a great service !!!!”

“Happy with the quality of the requirements from your customers. The accreditation is important to a lot of our customers and we can see why in the audit process. Wasn't too happy with the way our annual invoice works, this should naturally fall in-line with the date on the certificate. So got a few calls to pay the invoice when it wasn't even in my thinking. Was told this couldn't be changed so I'm likely to have the same conversation each year.”

“this was THE most painful renewal we have ever had! i will look to reduce our scope to the absolute minimum to hopefully make this less tedious moving forward”
