“I wouldn't normally conduct a review of this nature but in this instance I feel I have to. The service I have received for this product (on behalf of my client) was regretably absymal. The order arrived around 6 weeks later than promised. This compromised my install window as my client was expecting a new born to arrive and didnt want to have active works installtion on going whilst they arrived home with their new baby. Not to mentioned yet needed to secure their driveway for security reasons and safety of their other children. Completely understandable. Sadly Ruby's poor communication, manufacturing and delivery promises were all nothing short of appauling. Furthermore, when the delivery did finally arrive- £4,500 worth of 'premium' hardware arrived upside down, unstrapped and bouncing around in the back of a unroadworthy van with other delivery items- photo attached. I can't tell you how disapointed I am. What do Ruby plan to do to recify these problems or offer any form of compensation to both my client & I?”

“I needed a single piece of fence capping. To replace a damaged fence. Ruby UK was the only place I could find it. Despite the small order everything was perfect, from placing the order, tracking delivery and speed of service. Excellent, very pleased.”

“It was a mixed experience - the presales team was very helpfull and some of the pricing was reasonable, but the construction and delivery took a lot longer than expected. The gates are slightly warped and slightly split, but maybe within tolerance due to size, and the treatment has left some odd green stains. The posts were also slightly split.”

“Absolutely awful customer service I was told twice I would receive a phone call back when asking where the gate was and no one ever phoned me back. The quality of the gate is poor there’s a massive split running through it. The delivery service was awful the driver couldn’t be bothered to come the first day. I would never use again”

“Bought the scandinavian redwood tongue and groove for a set of 3 drive gates and an end panel to be fitted to frames consisting of treated structural C24 timber. I am very happy with the material after it dried out, it did not warp or twist and although knotty looks great. My previous gates lasted over 30 years and I’m sure these will last much longer. Although well treated i have painted them with a wood protector called Barrenntine, coloured golden oak which sheds water so should prevent the wood swelling, a problem i had with the old gates. So i can thoroughly recommend these woods.”

“We ordered some wood from Ruby impressed by their website. Unfortunately the driver of the delivery company they were using at that time crashed into our gates causing 1000s of £s of damage. I always believe the true test of a company is their customer service when dealing with a serious issue. I cannot praise Ruby and specifically their Customer Service Manager Nikki who was quite simply outstanding. She helped sort out the insurance and the speed of response and caring and sensitive handing and determination to put it right was second to non. Ruby deserve to do well with that customer service ethos and people like Nikki in their team. Outstanding!”

“I ordered some shiplap cladding together with nails and other related materials. Quick delivery a few days later and very fast satisfactory response (even on a Saturday) when I discovered the delivery driver had failed to leave part of the order. The timber is very good quality and accurately cut to the stated length. Excellent service overall. 3 out of 4 sides of large shed now in good condition.”
