About Rohan:

Rohan is a much loved and iconic British travel and outdoor clothing brand with a heritage spanning more than four decades. Established by two outdoor enthusiasts in North Yorkshire in 1972, Rohan set out to challenge the status quo. With five founding principles that clothing should always be protective, lightweight, packable, versatile and easy-care, Rohan radically re-thought the way people dressed for the outdoors.

My wife bought a pair of gloves for £20 S/M Vital gloves. She has worn these gloves and is very disappointed by them. They are thin and did not feel warm in the cold weather. She has medium size hands yet the gloves do not fit snugly. They are loose and do not fit securely round the tips of the fingers. They are not a precision fit and would be even looser on small hands. One could by a pair of gloves like these for about £6.00 I am a great fan of Rohan clothes for myself and think my wife has been most unlucky in her purchase.

Came quickly for the time of year but the medium was way too small. Smaller than the measurements quoted and ended up braking one glove getting it off. They are both in the bin now. Looked good quality though.

Went to the Preston store (11/12), woman who served me was so rude and snotty and had absolutely 0 customer service, the clothing itself is always good though but this has put me off ever using them again

Bought Rohan for many years but have been forced out due to ridiculous decision to stop selling size 8/XS. Why why why???

The goods are fine. What is rubbish are the follow up marketing emails. By clicking unsubscribe I was taken to further marketing pages. It took a direct contact to get the emails ended.

Purchased a new Windshadow jacket but I am returning it immediately. I have had one of these for some years, it's been all around the world with me and been a very useful piece of kit. I wanted a second one in a different colour. But the new version does not compare to the one I already have; the material is far less robust and the zip is now a flimsy plastic one instead of metal (and didn't work!). Been a Rohan customer for 20 years but increasingly concerned about the deteriorating quality of some of their clothing; will be looking at other brands now.

Rohan is not what it pretends to be. The sizing is almost random. Every single item has to be tried on. A small may fit in one but you may need a medium in another. The expensive fleeces may have a nice design but the fabric pills up even more that a cheap fleece from a supermarket. I have the evidence. I also bought one of the Rohan walking jackets. Problems started in a few weeks. 1 the map pocket is too small fir an OS map 2 the plastic press studs break off at the base. 3 the fabric is not colourfast and fades where your hand rubs down the front and in a patchy pattern throughout. With a year mine looked really shabby. The bags trouser are a weird fit. I have a pair if those also. The constant sales and price cutting illustrates that the prices are fictional. The customer services may be trained to sound contrite but so far none of my problems have been resolved. They are deliberately obstructive even if polite.

The staff at the durham store have a bad reputation of being rude to other staff and customers a very unwelcoming environment. The man who works here is very rude and treats his staff appaulingly. He can be over bearing and as a customer feel pressured to buy things. He has also had customers waiting at the door through lack of communication.

The quality of the goods has deteriorated substantially over the last few years. Eg I have purchased Rohan’s bags both for my myself and my family many times over the last twenty years. I’ve now stopped buying them as the colour fades and an orange base colour shows through within a few months. Initially I returned the bags and they were replaced with an apology. However the replacement bags soon faded. I returned them but yet again they faded within a couple of months- I gave up and now purchase an alternative brand

A suggestion for trousers - give the width measurement at the bottom hems. That will give a good idea of straight or slim legs. I was interested in the straight leg jeans until l read the reviews - it seems they are slim/tapered, not straight leg.

Could you make it any harder for Australians to buy a voucher for a UK friend? My wife spent 1/2 an hour trying to buy a 100 GBP gift voucher but you continually charged 25 GBP postage. I then have had to spend at least another 1/2 hour acquiring said voucher for a UK address without the 25 GBP postage charge. You automatically make the billing address the delivery address! I add to add an address and save it to obtain the desired result. My wife had given up on you, it's only because I don't like defeat that I persevered. You nearly lost a sale.

Sorry Rohan, I am a long-standing convert to the quality and design of your clothing (see my account) but the new microgrid half-zip is a backward step. I have three of these tops (size L) and tried on the new colour/design in the shop: the sleeves were unnecessarily and potentially annoyingly longer (already ample) but the thing is I simply could not get the sleeves on over a shirt. What's the point if you can't get the garment on? The assistant (for the record, in Guildford store, whilst visiting relations) was uninterested in my feedback. He explained that the sleeve had changed to a raglan design (not an issue) but he was not aware of any change in the length and narrowness of the sleeve. Happily wearing a previous design of the same garment, I said I couldn't get the new version on. As I say, he was dismissive. By the way, why can't I post this review directly on the item itself?

I've been a long term fan of Rohan and tend to use the microgrid stow away fleece a lot, even though some of the recent colourways have been a bit 'old'. The last one I bought was a great fit and great Rohan detailing especially liked the taped seams around the thumb holes. Compare the recent purchase, the arms are three or four inches too long and the thumb holes back to a slit in the seam. For premium price is not a premium garment.

I have been buying Rohan for years. However I have had to return my women's Traverse trousers (long) as they were much shorter that other pairs of trousers bought in the past. I am 5ft 10 inches and size long used to be perfect. Is this cost saving? If so, you have lost a regular customer.

I recently purchased an Elite jacket. I cannot believe anyone could design such an ill fitting hood. I have tried everything to stop it covering my eyes. If I use the draw strings which adjust at the rear it clings to my head and is too uncomfortable to wear and still works its way down over my eyes. I went in to your shop in Ambleside for help. The assistant was very helpful, he tried another jacket and adjusted the hood. It felt a little better, so he exchanged the jacket. However when using it on walks it was no better. I have had numerous jackets, some quite cheap, with far superior fitting hoods. It is very disappointing after spending, what is for me, a lot of money to be stuck with something I will be reluctant to wear.

Latest version no packable pocket. Had to return it. My time wasted. Otherwise ok. Nothing marvelous. Only got it because of the trade in offer.
