Ringtons products are second to none. I really don't mind paying that little bit extra for quality. One or two things are still overpriced though.
I will in future stick to ordering from my Ringtons man though, after my overwhelming need to restock, fearing I would run out of crumbly mints and ginger snaps, denoting the end of the world as I knew it took over as I submitted myself to ordering online. I'd missed Andy calling a couple of times and as I placed my order, I felt that ripple of guilt as if I'd cheated on him but still I pressed enter and parted with my sixty something pounds. A couple of days later this HUGE box arrived, with my name and address on, half full, fruit tea boxes crushed under a jar of coffee... This was someone else's order inside. It was almost as if karma had sprinkled it's wickedness for my betrayal. After a brief chat with customer services (lovely lass) I was asked to reseal the box and take it to the post office to return. Oh joy... At least it was a freepost address. I struggled to open my car door with no free hand due the size of the box, I did manage to place the box on the back seat, giving myself a silent cheer as I had an incling I'd been more successful and careful setting this order off on its return journey. The post master was a little dramatic initially refusing the box as 'too big', then after explaining for the forty millionth time I didn't need a postcode to return it, he succumbed to my request. Whether or not it ever reached its final destination is anyones guess, I never did receive any further communication. Not a thank you, kind regards or a cheers love in sight. Now the 2nd attempt whereupon Ringtons tried to get my order correct was unexpected as no communication was sent to advise when delivery would be. Impressed it was sent 1st class mind, surprisingly correct and not a squished teabag in sight. Happy days, sadly not so much as a 'whoopsie daisy' apology for the 1st error.
Conclusion - products are great, some are overpriced, Ringtons man exceptional, online services are poor, warehouse packers need an annual free test included in their contracts, although probably just ensuring they can read would be adequate.
Apologies if anyones cuppa went cold in the time it took to read this.”
