“R&S were friendly, professional, and efficient throughout. When we moved into our lower ground flat in Aberdeen we knew that the previous owners had used R&S for work in one bedroom (i.e., half the length of a wall that is partially underground). We could see the quality of the finish in that room so it was an easy decision to contact them about the other room. Although the moisture levels weren't terrible, there was some discolouration and signs of moisture. The work undertaken involved taking down the plaster, inserting a moisture-proof membrane and rebuilding/plastering the wall. All of that work was carried out well and R&S were very flexible when it came to the finishing touches (e.g., removing a door from an alcove cupboard and adapting the skirting and plaster to fit the new design). I highly recommend them.”

“A very professional service from an excellent surveyor who searched out the problem to both technicians, Robbie and Ryan, who executed the work. My house was left clean and tidy when I returned. I would thoroughly recommend this firm. It is a weight of my mind that this work was done properly. by this Aberdeen firm”

“The guys Evan & Matty did a good job on our property. It was always going to be a messy situation but they made it as painless as possible. Nice to have it done in one day. A special mention must also go to the plastering team that came the next day which finally finished the job. They made an excellent job too.”

“Two men Colin J & Mark B came to my house to fit a full floor in my living room. They came on time early morning & have worked really hard all day until finished..they have not stopped. They were very respectful of my home in putting down stuff on my hall floor for cleanliness. Also they were very nice & approachable guys. Tidied up after work done,no problems. I am veryhappy with the result of my new floor & i would recommend them.”

“We found some rising damp behind our kitchen cupboards when fitting a new kitchen. They could not have been more helpful prioritising our work to ensure the kitchen work could continue ASAP. It was very much appreciated and the workman that came to do the job were courteous, and efficient. Would highly recommend”

“A home report survey identified a potential issue with damp proof course work carried out by R&S in 2006. I phoned Lizzie at the local office under the terms of the warranty. She organised a surveyor who visited the following week and diagnosed condensation and gave advice. Lizzie and Clarke, the surveyor, were very professional and helpful.”

“We had a membr of the team out to quote us for work to be done. (Aberdeen branch) Within days we got our quote through. We went ahead withthe work and got a next day slot due to a cancellation. 10/10 for service and being able to do the work so fast!”

“Very happy with the Hawick branch! Darren was our surveyor and went into great detail about the work required to be done at our property in Moffat. We had woodworm treatment and work carried out by Alan who did a great job, he was on time each day, he was friendly, worked hard and left the place very neat and tidy. The service so far has been excellent and I'm sure it will be for future work that we require! Thanks again”

“The bathroom in my flat here in Hawick had patches of mould on the ceiling and walls due to poor ventilation and condensation. The man from Richardson & Starling (Alan) did a great job of cleaning the walls and ceiling surfaces to neutralise the affected areas, and then painting with a preventive type of paint to finish the job. The work was carried out swiftly and with great attention to detail and no mess. The ventilation problem will be put right with an extractor fan in the near future with this professional team. I would recommend this company. W. Neil, Hawick.”

“The 1950's detached garage alongside the house had a concrete floor without a damp membrane and regularly became visibly damp. You couldn't place a cardnboard box on the ground without it absorbing the moisture and disintegrating. Allan and the guys from the Dundee did an excellent job. Undertook the survey on the date specified, produced an excellent report and solution. On the appointed week they were on site, building a replacement block work wall and applying a resin based surface coating which has totally done the trick. The floor is now smooth, shiny, easy to clean and remarkably dry! Top rate service and great communication.”
