“Jamie & Ryan from the Edinburgh branch did a great job with damp proofing and replacing rafters and lintels in my mums house. They were really hard working and even helped my elderly mum with some other tasks she was struggling with. Clarke who did the original survey was also really helpful in providing technical advice on aspects of work that needed to be done by other contractors.”

“R&J (Edinburgh Branch) did a basement tanking operation for us in a very timely and efficient manner. Prior to commencement, Malcolm, the surveyor, always made himself available to answer, sometimes complex, questions by email (usually same day to his enormous credit) which would warrant 5 stars alone. The installers (The “Dream Team”) of Jamie and Ryan also deserve a mention. Senior technician Jamie personally got through a mountain of work on the first day under extremely difficult and challenging conditions to ensure the job was finished well within time. Given the extent of the work the price was highly competitive. I would recommend without hesitation.”

“Highly recommend. From the start with girls in the office in Dumfries, Kris who came out to look and quote and Chris and Greg from Hawick who did a fabulous job. I was dreading the dust the job was going to make but was really pleasantly surprised by how clean and tidy the boys left my house each time they came. Highly recommend this company.”

“I cannot speak too highly of the crew that came into our house to strip the old damp plaster from our bedroom walls and repair and re plaster them not only was the work carried out to a high standard the crew were very polite and courteous keeping us in the loop as to how the job was progressing they cleaned everything up after them So take a bow . “I have been a homeowner for many many years, and in many parts of the world. I have met many tradesmen, all of varying character and standard of work. I can honestly say thatEvan, who completed the treatment of the roof at my property yesterday , is in the top 3 for quality of workmanship, perfectionism, engaging personality, honesty and integrity. Access to the job was through a hatch in the bathroom . It’s always immaculate , so I was a bit worried I would have to clean up debris. But the condition Evan left the property in, on completion, was even better than I could have hoped or expected. Delighted !”

“Allan Brown from the Dundee office recently surveyed a holiday cottage that I am selling after possible woodworm was flagged up in the home report. He was very knowledgeable, and helpful and his report was sent quickly and efficiently. The office staff couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant when organising the appointment. I would highly recommend.”

“Chris, Alan & Greg from the Hawick office came to treat the woodworm and damp in our loft. I have to say they were excellent, smart and courteous as they went about the job. When they had finished it was like they had not been there, no mess at all, they even helped me move a fridge. A First Class Service I would highly recommend them. Thank you guys”

“I cannot rate this company high enough. So professional, kind and efficient. They turned a very stressful and upsetting experience of finding rising and penetrating damp unexpectedly in my new property, to a better one. I am so expressed with their service. I would strongly recommend them. The price was also very reasonable. 10/10”

“We had some time critical work needing done before we exchanged on the sale of our property and Richardson and Starling in Edinburgh were incredibly helpful in making sure this happened in the necessary timeframe - Jamie kindly came and did the work over a weekend, and was very helpful, thorough and efficient throughout. The team were responsive to emails and we really appreciated the thorough assessment we got on the initial visit by Clarke, which contrasted to some very dodgy quotes we got from other companies who took hardly any time to assess the issue! We would highly recommend them.”
